What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

I wanted to take a pic. When I looked down it was 66,668. :( I can always do the old ferris bueller trick and put the car up on blocks and put the car in reverse. :)

Drove backwards once to test that in a car for while and it counts up! LOL!

I seem to recall one of my old cars rewinding when driven backwards. Can't remember if it was my '95 contour or my '91 firebird.

On Saturday I went over to JBarone's house and helped him put H&R springs on his MS3. After that I swapped the plugs in Spec2k5's MS3. Then I changed out the Corksport race pipe on mine for a new one under warranty. I also did the Corksport exhaust bushings.

I missed the mod party :(

Although, I was skiing in Winter Park, so I guess it's a tradeoff I can accept!

On that MS3, I think they were done in about three hours total (front and rear). He had a Craftsman spring compressor that he bought specifically for the job.

With air tools you can do an MS6 in 3 hours or less taking your time.

Without air tools...it'll take all day. And you'll be drunk as a sailor by the end.
If you don't drink, you'll want to by the end of the job.

Air tools FTW

I couldn't imagine not doing that job with air tools. I think I would have broken a few windows on my car to take out my frustrations.

You can rent the spring compressor from your local auto parts store, they'll hold the amount on your CC and take it off when you bring it back. For all the longer you'll need it, I don't see the point in buying one.

Jamie bought one because he was pretty certain he'd be doing a few more for the other guys in the group.

hah, mine were put on half the time without an air compressor.
Fronts (the hardest ones to install) the compressor we WERE going to use was dead, so we said screw it and did em both by hand.

2.5 hours later we wanted to shoot ourselves, so we asked neighbors if they had air compressors.
One neighbor did, so the rear springs (of course the EASY install ones) we did both in 45 minutes...

haha!

Eww harder than I thought lol. My stepdads got airtools that I could use but I think ill just stay at stock height. Here around town ive scraped a few times and I can only imagine what its like lowered.
