Type R lip?

I am looking at the type r front lips on eBay and I don't know which one fits our protege. There is the lip for the 92-95 and another lip for 96-00. I would think the newer one would fit better, but I'm not sure. Has anyone put the type r civic lip on their protege? Is there any major modification needed or just some cutting from the ends and drilling new holes?

If you give me few days,a co-worker has a Civic and bought the Type R lip,he'll bring it next tuesday so i can try it on my car.

Cool, I have seen alot of posts on the forums about this and I really don't want to pay close to $300 for a sedan lip. I look forward to hearing if it fits or needs customization.

That looks like the type r lip to me. Did you have to bondo it or rework it with fiberglass?it looks sweet. Do you remember what year it was from?

Let us know what year is that lip from and if you can,pm me regarding the 2001-03 grille modification,i am thinking of doing that since i know i can't afford to buy the sport20 bumper and grille.

For the grill Argie it's not really a perfect fit... on the pictures it looks like a perfect fit but it's not one There's a gaps of about 1inch in the curving corners at the bottom. And you'll need to cut quite a lot of the back of the grill.

For the lip, if you guys are able to find a lip that is made out of fiber glass it would be great. Because the fiber glass is easyer to cut/fit back together with fiberglass and resin.

I got a fiberglass jdm grille that looks like a dgm for the 99-00 I got it from eBay. The seller is racing raven. You have to enable search other countries because he is in japan. I paid less than $50 with shipping. Just get the insurance because the package is not wraped very well and the first one he sent was broken. It needs a little sanding to sit completly flush. Not very much work but well worth the money.

If you want to you could eaven fit a Mgen lip or what ever the one that you like... Because it's a custom fit

malaki,i am sure it will have to be modified to fit,but i think that is one of the lips availables that not require great mods in order to fit properly.
I will know more on tuesday,certainly i like the way it looks..
