2007 Mazda5 17x6.5x52mm with the bald 205/50/17 oem toyo's. Speedo is off but no rubbing. Handling improvement was tremendous. Don't want to lower it, I like my undercarriage without scrape's and abuse; and it handles sweet as is.

Unbelievable snow storm!
Looks so much better than my blizzaks on steelies.
Thanks. I have run the steelies for years but just grew to dislike the look of them. There is no reason to have your car looking less than great in the winter time.

True but for $200 for the package I can't complain.....for now.![]()
I can totally understand that, especially since it's so hard to shop for wheels for this car (fitment-wise).
Are you satisfied with the treadwear on your Blizzaks? You have LM-25 I am assuming?
So far I am....just had the car inspected and the fronts are 7/32 and the rears are 5/32. I ran them approx. 3500 miles last year and not sure how many miles the original owner put on them the one season they were used (bought them used off of cl for $100).
And they are WS-50's. Only gripes are noise and mushy feel on dry pavement but they are snow tires, so.......
Quick Question:
Whats all needed to fit a 17x8+40 rim on the protege5. I`m assuming just a solid roll and it will be good?
I had that setup without any roll and it rubbed terribly, so I think even with a roll you'll rub a bit ... that is assuming that you're dropped.
What profile/width were the tires? How much of a drop did you have?
205/40-17 tires, about 1.5" drop
damn... now where did those pics go... yes i've searched but we all know how that goes....
wanna see some 17" mazda3 rims... the 5 spoke ones and tire size please...
i went shopping for tires for my 19's and i think it's time to give them a rest cuz tires for them are just to darn expensive
