There's the white original lobeam connector that powers the original halogen bulb, I had to stick those 2 small tab wires into it.. Where do I put it? The 2 tab wires from the new HID bulb are kept in a new little rubber grommet.. and I can't fit it under the OEM rubber weather protector cover.. So I have the wires coming out of the weather cap and it's not completely sealing.. Where am I suppose to keep the original white connector??
I removed the two wires from the grommet, basically I cut them, removed them from behind the boot, and installed them separate. This way the boot can completely seal up.
EDIT: As far as a battery harness goes, I would go ahead and get one no matter what kit you get (35w or 55w). It's a nice backup to have in case anything goes wrong and gives your ballasts the true power they need to fire up. This is the harness I ordered - http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com/servlet/the-247/HID-XENON-WIRING-HARNESS/Detail
Yep, most people run these off of the factory sockets which as you can probably imagine can create some problems. Good choice on the harnesses, how hard was the install? I should have my harness Monday or Tuesday. As far as the ballasts go, I would use zip ties on them.
What complications can come about doing it this way? Does the optional harness address the flickering issues of cars with drl's?Yep, most people run these off of the factory sockets which as you can probably imagine can create some problems.
