What have you done to your MS3 today?

How many Qtz do we need?

3 quarts. I have this fluid too and its better than MT90 and MT90 is much better than the stock fluid. WIN!

Unrelated... Thinking about putting a new tranny mount on my car. Can anyone recommend a good one? I'd like to go CP-E but it looks like they dont have one =/

You will only use 2.7 to 2.8 quarts in car. There is a how-to on one of the forums, don't remember which. Look for it.

Cosmic, question for you (or anyone else). When i put in my tranny fluid. I put the front of the car on jack stands. I was able to put all 3quarts of fluid in the tranny and i think this is because the car was tilted backwards. This was also the case when I put in my MT-90. I measured the amount of fluid that i successfully drained from the tranny and it was only 2.7quarts. Do you think it's possible i have over filled my tranny... twice? Could this be bad :O

I don't think you will have any issues. If you are worried about it, just take the fill plug out and let it drain (while the car is on flat ground).

Do you get the "Wa wa wa wa wa" LSD chatter when really cold and making hard turns (like turns in first gear in parking lots).

I havnt noticed, but I havnt driven much since yesterday. Ill listen tomorrow and see how audible it is. I know I heard it with the factory fluid. Even though when I drained the factory fluid it was extremely clean, possibly because I only have 17000 miles on the car.

Eventfull day:

Washed her today for the first time in a while to get rid of the salt.

Installing my Cobb Downpipe and oil catch can

Probably going to drive around and burn some gas afterwards lol! (cabpatch)

option 1 with blue hoses. how do u like the sound of the cobb dp with the stock cbe? any sound clips?

I haven't got the car back yet. Its at a local shop and its proly done and I just need a ride to go get it. I wouldve done the install myself but the coilover install killed me so I didn't want to fight with the car again so I decided to pay for this one. I'll get a sound clip when I get home later.

replaced my greddy rs bpv with the HKS and I am very happy with the results. Sounds great and no more flutter when I let off the gas too slow.

Well holy crap that Downpipe did a lot. The car has sooooo much more power now! It just flies. I broke the tires loose at 85 mph and a wet road with my snow tires and thought the clutch was slipping! Tried to replicate it on a dry road and couldn't.

One thing that is interesting is the poping/backfire noise that I get with the tuned in flat foot shifting. I could never hear it with the stock exhaust so now it concerns me when I hear it. Is this bad for the motor? If it is why would COBB release this feature?

Except our engines aren't built for just racing haha.

Yeah i can appreciate that but its normal for turbo charged cars to backfire like that and gurgle, especially with a performance downpipe - totally normal. Additionally, the lagless shifting thing you have that never cuts the throttle is going to do that anyway, the old DP just muffles the sound.

Had my tranny fluid changed at the dealer and they put in Mazda fluid and it makes that noise. I am going back as it is quite annoying.
