I dont know...i bought the car back in april...it had 83K on it. you can tell there was NO maint on it. Had i not changed out the valve cover, i probably never would of noticed...i would of been changing out my oil and doing basic maint as usual. But after getting in the weeds of cheaning that s*** out... (6 wire brushes, 4 cans of brake cleaner, 2 bottles of motor flush, 1 can of engine cleaner, 10 bottles of oil, 4 spark plugs, elbow grease, roughly 8 hours of time), i think i am in pretty good shape now...

yeah, do it...your probably isnt close to being like mine though...
well i dont know about the car before i got it, but when i got ahold of it, i had just made my 5th oil change (83K when purhcased now has 97K), so me and my buddy took it apart, and he was like man u need to take pics of that s***, along with before and after pics...the good news is i know ALOT more about my car...
i dont think synthetic would of made any difference in this situation...but i will make another oil change at the 100K to see how the synthetic dissolved the rest of the sludge and it is 4500-5000K oil changes for me after the next one...
yeah Phil, we started about 10.30 in the morning and finally got done roughly 7 last night.

well yea, i guess that is one of the bad things about buying a car from someone else, never know how he took care of it

Oh hell yeah, i think my car didnt know what to do...i am already seeing gains on the MPG...drove it roughly 100 miles and the needle barely moved. the idling got alittle smoother, i dont know if that cleanout contributed to it, but i feel better personally.
yeah if you are the original owner, you know exactly what the situation on the maint of the car. But best believe, i will take good care of it from here on out.

He ain't kidin. I had never seen an engine that bad before. Did not turn out perfect but it is a hell of alot better than when we started. let me tell you that "engine flush" might not do much mixed with the oil but put it undiluted on the sludge and a wire brush and you go magic.
You should have stopped by. It was a hell of a time. Couple hours turned out to be alot more and 3 trips to advanced later. LOL

I have this buddy who only has 4 1/2 inches of clearance underneath his car and all the car jacks he can find are 5 1/4 inches tall.
So right now he can't jack his car up off the ground. What should he do? (help)
And after bottoming out multiple times and now having a broken rear sway bar sitting in his house he wants to raise the car up a little bit. But he can't because the jack doesn't fit under the car.
lol and incase anyone was wondering apparently an aluminum can (soda or beer) is only 4 1/2 inches tall lol (couch)
He tried using the front jack point but the jack stands would still not sit under the car with it jacked up all the way from there. So what he thought about doing was jacking it up all the way and risking it and taking the wheels off without jack stands and adjusting the front suspension height first so he can get it from the sides for the rear.

drive up on a block of wood then the jack should fit under there
edit.. im confused
the jack doesn't fit under the car or the jack stands... if its the jack then drive on some blocks of wood to get the car high enough to put the jack under... if it's the stands then you need a higher jack (lift)

Yeah I'm not feeling the whole slammed ride thing anymore. Going to be raising it up about 3/4 an inch all around and see what happens.
