NEMOC Random BS Thread

Yesterday morning I drove through rain/snow mix in very colds temps. Then it was crazy warm in the afternoon and into the evening with winds gusting up to 25mph here. How odd these days are.

(wow)

Josh drove his car in bad weather??!?!?!?!

Went to an allergy doctor today for the first time. Has anyone else gotten the allergy test done where they poke your forearm with toothpicks soaked in different allergens? The cat spot was huge within a couple minutes, lol. But I'm not allergic to any pollens or weeds! Just dust mites and cats, haha. I thought it was an interesting test...

I had one of those when I was like 6 yrs old...i thought i was pretty awesome having an arm full of stab wounds.

popped for fur (all), feathers, pollen, dust, mold, mildew, and i am pretty sure "birch trees" which I think must have been some sort of mistake.

Heard back from the bodyshop. Found the radiator support was damaged, so they are waiting on parts.

Not sure if this will delay getting the car back.

Lol I know. I still don't really enjoy driving in it if there are other people on the road... I was sliding pretty bad this morning yet traction control didn't kick in.. I'm thinking I have really crappy tires for snow, or at least wet snow. I don't remember as much sliding last year but the tires are only a year old. (dunno) Maybe I'm not conditioned yet, it is the first major snow.

Not myself but our daughter had a similiar test done when she was three. Only difference was she laid on my chest and they did the test on her back. Her allergies include - dust, pollen, mold, mildew and a slight allergy to cat.

That's no good....hope everything is still on schedule.

I'm lucky enough to not be allergic to anything. ...except poison ivy (shrug). Just popped a Benadryl, hope that helps un-swell my right eye (almost swollen shut right now).

My older brother has the usual hayfever, pollen, dust..."anything that blooms" allergies.

My mother's allergic to Nickel and my little brother is allergic to amoxicillin (found that one out the hard way i.e. Rushed to the ER)

Meant to ask, how exactly did you get poison all over your face?

I wish I knew. You'd think 5 inches of snow would act as a deterrent or something. But I drive all over the state for work so I could have picked it up anywhere. It's a swath that covers my right eye down to my right cheek bone then across my upp mouth and nose to the left cheek bone. Not fun.

Ok evewyone, wet's sing awong...

I was worried that with my new setup/clutch the extra power would be tough to control... especially with 3 season old snows... but no issues at all :D

That is crazy....I would think you'd be safe over the winter months. Calamine lotion ftw!
