What have you done to your P5 today?

feelin like an arse, just realized at 3:30am after tireless searches on adding a sensor to the factory alarm system, that there has been no alarm on the p5...always assumed that since it has panic button and honks after two presses on the fob that it was arming system...ugghhhh...at least now i know what my next investment will be (bang)
 
That's "keyless entry". I thought I had a factory alarm as well until I tried to make it go off.

There was however a factory option alarm, my wrecked p5 had one.

yea i always thought that was dumb that the p5 didnt have an alarm standard
im glad it doesnt have it cuz i hate when car alarms go off lol but still

Ordered a new tire for my BMW and a lot of 10 oil filters.

Oh wait, wrong forum, lol...

Drove the P5 to work, one of the rear brakes sticks or something going backwards, is this a common thing? Started doing it after I replace the rear wheel bearings, maybe I didn't get something back together correctly...

Only happens when rolling backwards or in reverse, horrible sound.

It's common for the caliper sliders to freeze up. Pull off the caliper and grease both sliders. You do not need to remove the brake line.
 
Huge fireball out the back...HUGE ball of white smoke...had it towed home...gonna check it out tommorrow or friday...I am hoping the motor hasn't taken a s*** on me...I would hate to be on the 4th...right now just hoping for the best...I have about the worst luck...

Believe it or not I don't...I am not sure what happened...if I finish my work tonight I may pull it into the garage and take a few looks...I really don't know where to start...what could the white smoke of been...
 
No...not really...the car was driving about 45, bogged a sec, CEL started flashing (it is always on, but never flashing), fireball, TONS of smoke, I turned it off while doing about 45 and it rolled into the median...I towed it home...I just don't know where to start on it...
 
maybe a big miss? Get the code read. Flashing CEL means stop ASAP. Could have been dead on 1 cylinder for whatever reason, dumped a bunch of fuel that hit the hot cats. Lots of fuel hitting the hot exhaust is the only way to get a fireball out the back. For it to have gone through 2 cats and a muffler is pretty ******* impressive...

So should I just go to autozone, buy a scanner, then return it...I don't know another way to get it up there to have the code read...
 
From what autozone told me, in CA, if you buy a scanner, you cannot return it because thats the same as renting it, which they're not aloud to do.

I know jiffy lube and other possible oil change places have free readings.
 
just turboed the p5 again... im contemplating if i like it or love it... im still breaking in the new clutch and flywheel sooo no romping on it to see boost yet :-( i did see 3psi though.. but the engine management wont let me go over 3psi or 33mph :-( GRR
