What have you done to your P5 today?

Drained my transmission of the cheap fluid I was using to flush out the crap before putting in the expensive Mobil1 Full Synthetic ATF. Managed to get right around 7 qts out through the pan and cooler line, so it's pretty much all new Mobil1 full synth in there now. So far my shifts feel a lot better. I ran about 3000 miles on the stuff I put in as a stop-gap fix before and she came out good and clean, which is a promising sign. I'll probably do another flush/fill when I hit 100,000, depending on the condition of the fluid. I'm at 86,000 now and trying to get the max life out of this transmission after it looks like the last change interval was missed by the previous owner.

Yeah, I believe that the P5's ATX holds 7.5 quarts of ATF. I got 7 out, and put 7 in. Certainly, short of having a machine to extract all the fluid and swap in new fluid in its place, pulling the cooler line off and running the car to drain the remaining 3.5 quarts, 1 quart at a time to to top off with 1 new quart into the pan, seems to be the best way to get the most old crap out and the most new stuff in.

removed old radio bracket and stripped wires in preparation for new head unit as well as repairing damage to OEM harness from recent theft...can't wait to have music again!!(band)

just had my s*** stolen last night. took it to get estimate for repairs for insurance. new dash surround(whole assembly) is gonna be 418 bucks...i was like WTF!. the window that got shattered didnt even cost that much installed.

Today at school i put the car on the lift and soaked the fill and drain bolts with WD40 pretty well.

Went to auto zone. All they had was Royal Purple 75-90 for 18.99 a quart and Mobil 1 75-90 for 8.99 a quart. is the Royal Purple really worth the extra $10?
