They came with some sort of centering ring and a note that said if I have to install spare tire have to remove this ring from the hub.

It seems that they stay in when you install them and they stay on the hub when you remove the tire.

Yea Cheo its plastic? i forgot about them being on my rims i got from Bruce and when I put my winters on yesterday i put the fronts on, not tight, and they didnt look right. then remembered about the center ring! it comes off pretty easy, especially if you use a little grease or something that will allow them to slide off.

They are called hub rings. They need to stay with the rim. They can be metal or plastic. Just make sure you put a little grease on the hub so they won't rust on.

When you put your stock rims back on make sure the rings come off the hub and go back on the winter rims.

i have plastic hub rings on mine because the bore size was off a bit. i obviously wouldnt have the problem with them rusting on which is why i was happier with plastic....but i never thought of just a little lithium grease. good simple idea.

i always have my rotas on. they were under 1000 for the set so if they turn to s*** in like 4 years id say i got my money out of them. plus i think by then im going to want a change anyway.

waiting for my autometer oil pressure sender, ptp bs delete, and windage tray to come in. i also bought a new license plate holder that came in. now i just need to go out and get the paint for a few parts so i can do all the painting and installing in one day. gunna be an all day thing. probably from morning till night. gary ill buy you lunch and dinner and bring some beer for us. i have an awesome idea for the new shop too. check this out....this will def be our first big project for me and hopefully more speed 3's to come.
