Funny Issue with MS3

I am curious though how your MAF got messed up. Have you done anything to your car lately that moved/shook the MAF? Another member on here some how damaged his MAF and the car ran like total ass and was throwing CEL's like it was his job. We cleaned it in the deduction to the problem process and it did run a little better. Finally taking it to the dealership they simply replaced the MAF and off he went same day running awesome.

That is some serious over oiling. LOL... When anyone oils their filters they should leave them standing up over night to let any residual oils drain out. Then reinstall it. That is why you should always have 2 filters.

i actually did that, and there was 0 evidence of oil ingestion or oil sticking to the walls/maf. seems you really dont need much oil to **** it up

Honestly, I have not touched my MAF sensor since installing my FMIC kit. Which has been a while already. Maybe that morning that I put gas, maybe it had something to do with throwing the readindgs off of the MAF sensor... Not sure..

That could be a possibility..... I did clean my air filter and re-oiled it. Now, how much did I put on it, I do not think I over did it. However, at this point I could consider that a potential cause/effect....

BTW what gas station was it? i remember the same thing happening to my sisters mini van.... only thing is that she accidentally put E85 in it (screwy) just wondering if it could have been a mistake like that(scratch) perhaps draining the tank and then filling up with a different gas might solve problem? but im very carefull to always use V-Power and if theres no shell near by ill settle for BP ultimate

you do realize that v power doesnt work in our cars right....

we are DI not PI so there is no fuel cleaning our valves......

at best it cleans the injectors, but i would think 1600psi of pressure would prevent any gunk from forming around the tip...

I dont get it for the so called " CLEANING POWER"... i have found that any other brand of gas makes my car feel like its running bad, however, its probably fine on other gas. call me crazy.. but to me it feels wierd using other stuff..

I made sure to use 95 octane. The gas station was BP...
