Speed3 burnout

i'd be pissed if i lived in his/her neighborhood

agreed... there is truth to the old saying "you don't s*** in your own backyard".... i would have called the cops on this POS if it were near my house.... smoke your tires off on a track not in a residential area.... what a douchebag

when I was changing my tires I did the same but at macdonalds drive thru......hehe U guys should see what my frien is doing with his modded gti :P
I feel like u all are 50 or more enjoy your car before you will throw a rod when cruising :p

those kids were like 16-17 so ya having a $20-$24k car would require parents to fork it up... the correct term seemingly would be Spoiled kids....

regardless.... they are a complete bunch of inbred assclowns(monkey2)

yeah this is true, but I guess the first time I saw it, i didnt notice how young they were

id do it if i were replacing tires also...and im 27. but i wouldnt have done it in my driveway towards the house or in my neighborhood. country road thats empty....yes.

But then you wouldn't get any street cred!

I generally prefer to let my RPM's flow when I'm actually moving.... I don't know about the rest of you, I don't get a hard on from doing a stationary burnout with my MS3... (notcool)

The point is...

who cares his car, his tires, his money, his house it wasnt on the street near a school zone or anything so let him blow his money

A dumb move like that just foreshadows what an idiot like that is capable of. Sure in his driveway all he endangers is his property. Of course he could have blown a tire given the amount of heat he was generating. Doing stupid stuff like that on the street will get innocent people killed. That kind of mentality is the same that would street race or do some other dangerous stunt. Just hope he only kills himself and not some innocent.

Aside from the lack of judgement (in front of house, driveway, popping tire, etc) whats the problem with doing a burnout . . .

How is he hurting the car so bad? I feel for the clutch but hes not destroying his engine . . .

The thought of maintaining 6k or higher RPM for that period of time sends chills down my spine. I don't think it's healthy to hold an engine to redline for extended periods of time.

IMO it's more about judgement.

The car can take this sort of abuse once on while. This is more about stupid judgement regarding location etc. Also there is the possibility that the heat generated could cause the tire to explode.

i always wondered what it would be like to hold up on the emergency brake and get her spinning. now thanks to these guys, i know.

i don't think this would be all that hard on the car... not that i plan on doing anything like this. i guess i think FWD burnouts are kind of dumb.

and if he let off the brake, with the tires moving that fast, it would take a second or so to catch, and really get moving, so i doubt the house was in any danger... that driveway is gonna have two black rectangles on it for a LONG time, however.

we once did a burnout IN a friends garage, then quickly moved the car out, closed the door, then went in and told him something in the garage was on fire... he got all freeked out, ran out in the garage, got it open and aired everything out... then sees the big black mark and rubber.. 'oh you guys are ASSHOLES!' it was pretty funny.

Miata engines can do it all day long. This engine can, but you wont benefit from it. Theres a rev limit for a reason.
