Mud flaps

Want mud flaps, but want ones that stick out less than the Rally Armor ones. Any ideas?

probably gonna have to make ur own.. i dont think there are any compaines besides Rally Armor that make MS3 ones.. they dont stick out that much at all really and they do grow on u the longer they are on.. hell i was thinking of getting some for the MS6..

They don't stick out that much, but the amount they do is actually the part that protects most of the side your car.

Either buy the rally armor ones and recut them to the way you like them (would be easy to cut the material) or look into making your own. I tried to price out urethane cheap enough to cut my own before I bought them but couldn't do it without buying bulk.

Somebody needs to make some molded mud flaps for this car already. Ken, or another of our vendors should jump on this. They would make a killing.

(iagree) i would love to have some for the MS6 if they were molded.. but ill put some rally armor ones on for the time being if nothing comes of this.

like these on the new camero's.. of course we would have a different style but thats what i want for mud flaps..

That's exactly what is meant by molded. They are made to fit the lines of the car. They are color coded. They just look more sophisticated I guess.

I've been wishing for molded mud flaps for a while now, but I am really starting to think about getting the rally armor ones since I can stand all the crap that gets thrown up on the side of my car while driving,(TAR) argh! And the rock chips aren't much fun either

and they will tear out paint on your fenders/side skirts too

most certainly. the rally armour mud flaps are so easy to clean as well. the material just doesnt let things stick. its protected my sideskirts and rear bumper so well and the hassle of cleaning off that nasty tar and dirt is a thing of the past.(dance)

They make molded mudflaps for the 3, which will fit onto our cars with a little work. By "a little work" I mean you have to actually remove a few inches of your side skirt to make the fronts fit. The rears differ between the hatch and the sedan, but all are for the MZ3, not the MS3, which is why they dont fit OVER the skirts. I have a set of the fronts, which I plan on trying to have molded to fit over the skirts, but its going to be a little while until Im able to do it.....

You can find the molded skirts here, if you are interested. Towards the bottom of the page.

I'm not looking to cut anything, but I appreciate it. Maybe one of the vendors can make a mold from them and adapt the mold to fit our cars. I personally would pay about $150 for some molded ones - there is a killing to be made!

well speed 3 + 6 owners may very well have some coming to them.. i figure i might as well contribute something.. working out all the details right now.. then ill apply for my AMM status..stay tuned.

i should have 3 design choices done and made by the end of november..i know that sounds far out but its really not from a production stand point.. ill post them here.. get ur feedback and continue on from there.. id say a good christmas present for the car!!!

I would be very interested in these flaps. I know your title says you are a 6 owner, flaps would be for 3 as well? *drools at the idea* I know its early, but do you have any idea on what materials will be used and cost to purchase?

i have the design done and a cardboard/ paper model of it done and its fits the car well i will be making the foam model of it next week, then reverse it for the other side of the car, once the mold is done and fine tuned to fit the car, pictures will be available so that u guys can vote which style u guys like. at that time i will also post a thread about it.. and at the same time go through the process of getting AMM status.. once the MS6 ones are made i will be making MS3 ones shortly after.. im hoping with some hard work and a bit of luck that i could possibly have these made and ready to sell by the end of december for the MS6's and early febuary for the MS3's..stay tuned..
