Steve went new car shopping today...

as for the SHO, i'm disappointed as well Jay. it certainly isn't what it was back in the day, but i am glad to see a twin turbo V6 w/ an AWD system. i can only hope they use the SHO as a launching pad for a mid engined TT V6 AWD focus.

the last domestic full size sedan to really impress me was the mid 90's Impala SS. the 2010 SHO is a step back in that direction.

AHEM!

back to the baby blue 2010 mustang stroking.

I think the baby blue would look SUPER sharp with a set of SHelby stripes right down the middle. Black ones. Mmmmmmm....yummy.

I just don't see what you guys see in either of those cars. The Mustang is hideous to me, particularly down the sides and the whole tail section. The SHO is relatively nice, but for that price I'd rather have a 335xi and be 1200 pounds lighter. I think Ford priced themselves out of a market with great potential on the SHO. The AWD Sports Sedan loyalists are going to stick with Audi and BMW for that price.

i agree with blendercloud on this one..i have never been a fan of american cars at all or even the mustang. just my opinion. if i had to get rid of my car my next choice would be an upgrade to an audi over anything else. getting a mustang compared to our cars in my opinion is more like a downgrade or a step in a different direction from the luxury/awd

I've been interested in the SHO too since I saw an article on it a little while ago. I hadn't seen the interior until I just googled it, but it looks nice. Maybe a little boxy for me, but nice.

I had the same urge to test drive cars, Steve, and I was planning to stop in to see if any of the local Subaru dealers had an STi sitting around. I'd like to drive one o compare.

I like the Mustang.....in 2010. The new motor will make it much more appealing, in my opinion.

The SHO? Huge dropping of the ball on Fords part. As Blender said, for near $50K, get a 335 and have better luxury in a sportier sedan. Now, as others mentioned, if they put that motor into a Fusion with a reasonable price tag....well, that's a whole other story.

The two tone interior is ugly as hell in person. The all black SHO is much nicer inside and out.

They've already announced that the 2012 SHO is getting even more upgrades, to break it up even more from the car. personally, I think they should just call the current SHO the Taurus Ecoboost, then make the SHO something totally different. I'd love to see the 5.0 V8 in there.

i think w/ some after market tails, a good drop and some nice offset rims the 'stang will look much better. the catch for me is the front end and how it's just a little more rounded off as the hood ends and meet the headlights.

i'm also starting to think almost anything in that color would look good.

the blue mustang is tits. i'd pimp that.

as far as the SHO, for that much, one could consider the Infinity G37x. better lookin IMHO.

Woot!!! +100000000000000000000000 i HATE Mustangs..the color is cool looking but then again its "Baby" Blue.. as for the SHO, i like it and would like to see what people do with them since its TT and looks like a good base motor to go off of unlike ours is.

Anyone drive the Genesis coupe yet? Impressions?

ive driven both the 2.0t and the 3.8. i loved them both. both pulled pretty good. the interior was really nice, and i liked the dash/ radio set up. if i didnt buy my ms6, i defin would have considered the 2.0t in red or black.

saw my frist SHO yesterday. thats a huge car. i didnt really like it tho in the redish maroon color.

I've only sat in one, and I thought that the interior was lacking compared to the rest of the car. I also didn't care for the front grille compared with the rest of the car.

That red metallic is sharp on the SHO, but I prefer the darker colors on the car.

i thought the seats hugged me really nicely. and i drove them at night, so i didnt get a good luck at everything, but the dash lit up all blue and sexy

A Mustang GT with a 35k sticker on it is ridiculous... That 5.0l is going to cost even more as it wont be the entry level V8, it will be the top of the line motor. I would suspect that car will sticker starting at 36k and go up from there... That is one heavy price to pay for a Mustang!!!

We won't know much more til the order guides come out in Nov. The 5.0 will be the GT motor, not a high end motor. They're not going to run with 3 motors for two trim levels. V6 will have the 3.7 and the GT will have the 5.0. GT500 is getting either a 5.8 S/Ced or possibly a TT 5.0 (which is code named 'Road Runner') in 2012.

Also, there's been a lot of talk on several Mustang forums from people 'in the know' that the price increase in 2010 was made to help soften the blow for the 2011. It will go up, but theres not much room to wiggle if they want to stay competitive.
