no, the engines are the same, they just used less plastic in the 08+. it doesnt cover the whole engine.

^^ Yup. And yes, the also changed the location of the oil filler and oil check dipstick (that added like 5hp... )

Finally got my computer and photos matched up.
2007 GT in Brilliant Black, black cloth, 5 spd, sunroof, fogs, 17" wheels. Bought this past July with 18K km for 16,690 Canadian bucks. Got almost 23k with not a single day spent commuting. Only problem so far is a squeeky belt when driving in the rain (sigh)

slvmazda5, your ride looks good! Color gray like mine, my 5 is a 2008 ES. Tinted windows, doors ventvisors and I already bought a rear guard bumper and like to change the dome light and map light to HID. (2thumbs)
