Great N/A Mods for the MP3

they'll be fine...the powerband just didn't stop...unlike having your power die off around 4K rpms, you can keep your foot in the gas all the way to redline. all of my cars have been DD's...i've never had a problem. if there is a loss down low, it isn't much at all.

Did you install them your self or a shop do it? if you did was it fairly easy but took a day to do? And does it add a different tone to your engine and exhaust?

if you haven't messed with your timing before, i would recommend a shop. it's a b**** to keep it in time once you take of the gears...all you have to do is keep tension on the belt and make sure the belt doesn't move off of the gears, but i have always seemed to have complicated this somehow and end-up being off a tooth.

the twiggy sticks do...i don't remember if the jdm cams did or not...but i don't think they will.

Oh I didn't think so, Have you heard anything about Integral Performance Cams and theres stages for these, would they be good as the twiggy sticks or close to? Also would a Cast Single Runner Intake Manifold be a good upgrade, not to sure about these?

i haven't heard of anyone that was running them...if i couldn't find a set of twiggys and i had the cash, i'd give them a try...but that's just what I would do.

the single runner intake mani will give you more top-end, but you'd lose the bottom end. it's more for turbo'd guys...granted, you will gain something...i don't think losing the bottom end would be worth it, imo. you have the best n/a intake mani with your stock mp3 intake mani...i don't know of any that are better.

I don't think I fully understand the whole thing with low end and top-end power. Does low end power consists of acceleration and top-end power more in 3, 4, 5 gears....I don't know?

bottom end prolly meaning lower rpms.
top end, on the higher end of rpms

kinda like a cold air intake, u gain some high end, but lose some low end torque

and do most cars come with this? or is it aftermarket? and if so where could I get it? I have a mazda protege 02 with a FS 2.0L engine

you have OBD2 then. Most(all?) newer cars have this. You really only need to worry about this when you go to hook up a CEL code scanner. Just tells you what type of scanner to use

I dont mind OBD2 cause if you have a CEL on you can go get a code reader and it depending on what kind you use it will tell you exactly what the code is instead of going and looking it up in a book or something. OBD2 is also easier to trigger a CEL on tho
