Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

Okay smartass... I'm strictly talking from the standpoint of someone who might be new-ish to photography. You have to first learn, understand, and master the basic rules before you start breaking them.

I totally agree, not tryin to be a smartass. basically just saying that like many things, it is the exception that proves the rule. especially with that 2nd pic. first, I'll admit the composition isn't great, theres another (ugly) car immediately to the right... but because its shot into the light, a lot of ppl will tell you it sucks.

smartass was supposed to be sarcastic, sorry.

Shooting into the sun on profile shots doesn't work too well unless you go for a shillouette. In the case of the first picture, I would have angled the car more to get a reflection of the sun and to highlight the body lines. The shadows hurt the picture a little, but I can see many ways you could work with that...

that shot was more of an afterthought... i shot pics with the sun that low for this shot:

and took some others at the place the car is in the previous one I posted that came out better, not saying its a GREAT pic, but as far as breaking the backlighting rule, it came out well I think. especially with a wide angle point n shoot.

I thought they were good pics, good location, and everything. guess i was wrong. oh well ill keep on trying

Woah woah. I thought the were excellent locations, I was just trying to give you some pointers for next time to take your photos to the next level.

You did a lot of things correctly:
The picture is level,
you squatted down to the car's level as opposed to taking it from nasty eye level,
the angle of the car in relation to the camera is very good
white balance is correct
the car is mostly centered
car is in-focus

Things to work on for next time:
Turn your wheels the other way
try to not shoot with a white wall in the background (on into your light source) it de-balances the shot
Try and get the car into the light more as opposed to in the shade

Its not a BAD photo, I'm just giving you tips for next time. Let me know when you're back in town and we'll go take some photos together.

I know you were not being critical i was just saying it seems i have a lot to learn. thanks for the advice

was this around noon yesterday? I think I saw it from across the river

yup... i was driving home around 1230 and it was still burning. i thought it was a storm cloud at first, then when i turned toward it, i could see it was coming from the ground. was up around 7 mile and 75.

Dammit... I should've gotten an 03.5...

Maybe I should just convert the 03 to a complete 03.5. Like, front lip, wheels, and wing (exhaust doesn't matter, it's about to be a cat back straight anyhow).

Actually Haven't seen an orange with 03.5 wing before so should be neat. i still want an mp3 wing though.
havent seen a yellow msp with one of those either ha.

Yeah I'm a noob here, but thought I'd share some MS6 love.... heres my 2006 Velocity Red Mica..... mildy modded.
