What have you done to your MS3 today?

Here is the vid:

Not by any means the best driving. It's my rookie season and only my 5th event. I need more seat time and some proper instruction. Maybe an Evo school or a full racing school. Left foot breaking would also be something nice to pick up. I'm going to try to find an experienced co-driver for the next event after Nationals to give me some pointers. Anyways... Enjoy!

Ya I noticed it this weekend on the nationals site which is a bit bumpy. I tried to replicate it on the street after the auto-x on my street tires but could only do it once. I though removing the heavy shift knob might help the cause and I couldn't get it to do it after I removed it. Still I could see the stick bouncing around and trying to pop out. I want to try a short throw shifter and a lightweight shift knob to try and fix the problem. What shifter weight are you talking about? I've never taken a good look at our gear linkage.

The car running 275's was an Impreza so from out of state so it may be the same car you mentioned. A 95 BMW 325i was the car with 285's that fit under his fenders! They were seriously rolled but still! I want to move up to 245's and then put something bigger on the front like a 255 or 265. Maybe even a 275 if I'm really brave. Damn I already bought some sweet rims and I would need more to do that! I'll stick with the 245's when I get them for a while. Build up everything else and then go back to tires later when the car is no longer my daily driver.

The Impreza wasn't out there since they were at the CCR event I ran on Sunday. The BMW's should give you a pretty good idea where you are in the class since they normally win DSP nationals.

If you open your hood you'll see the shifter weight I am talking about attached to the end of the shifter link w/ 2 bolts. COBB makes a reduced shifter weight that was discontinued and pretty much impossible to find now, but I'm thinking about just taking the whole weight off and seeing how that works.

Good luck at Nationals, I'll see you out there next year.

Tightened the damn endlink bolts. It was sure annoying hearing that noise everytime you went over a bump.

Make sure you check those if you hear any noise coming from the "trunk".

Ya I actually went and looked after you said that. Grabbed some tools too try and take it off and OMG! Put all my strength into both of those little bolts and they don't want to budge. I'm going to have to take the impact gun to it!

Ya that BMW was smoking fast. Beat me by like 4 seconds on both courses lol. Still mine is a daily driver and I haven't done nearly the extent of stuff to my car as they had lol. I also don't have anywhere near as much experience behind the wheel. It's kinda annoying to be the bully of a class locally and then get smacked like that by out of town talent.

I've got a couple of very talented 135i drivers in my local region (competing against me in STU) so I'm used to getting my ass handed to me pretty consistently. (lol2)

install them JDM rain visors...so pimpz
wash and waxed

need to clay it...soon.

Clay it asap, I did it and my s*** is pimpilicious. Now wax jobs are quicker and when I go to the gym, everyone is like where did you get your car done at. Lmao, I'm always like I did it myself but can I get back to my workout?

Cool. I got the Black ones with dark gray letters. Post some pics up when ya can.

Per your request, I didn't rewash the car since I have been driving through construction in order to get to school, but here it is anyway.

Got an offer to switch cars for Nationals and drive a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS instead of my MS3. I would definitely be faster but idk if I want to drive a different car for my first nationals.

Kilik2, those look great. I love the red letter and how it matches the car. Good Job.

Hammer, that vid was awesome. That course looked really fun.

Ya it really is a great site. So much room we had another course that was larger than that one set up for the next day on the same site with still tons of room left over for parking and everything. Its a bit bumpy but other than that its great.

Have you ever been on a road course?

Yes I do track days pretty frequently. Why do you ask?

Just wonderin'. Cause you seem to post up all your autocross stuff a lot and quite frankly I've never been a fan of autocross... I'm more interested in track days and whatnot. Did you used to race karts or midget cars or something like that?

AutoX isnt bad. It's cheaper fun. Track days can get quite pricey.

Oh yea, picked up some Touch-up paint from the dealership. New black MS3 looks good. But the interior makes you die a little on the inside. Cheap

Ya I used to run karts but never competitively. We have two that we would take out to the road course and run with some of the other locals. It's a rush. 100mph with 5 karts within a few feet of each other is just insane. The reason

I don't really post any of my track stuff is cause it's not a competition and I'm not racing against anyone. It's fun to go out and run around as fast as you can though. I really like auto crossing though cause it's all about car control. You learn so much. It also comes at you much faster than a road course will.

I would be a club racer but that requires way too much money since I pay for my all of my own racing and parts and I'm only 16. My parents are both club racers though so I spend a fair amount of time at the track.
