I don't care about the stitching color. My ultimate goal is to have the entire interior swapped out for a 3 or an MS3. I like the front buckets of the 3's a ton better, and my seats (well the passenger anyhow) is looking a little bleh. All of the interior snafus were done when I bought the car.
Back to the steering wheel issue, I want an aftermarket wheel. I could care less about the airbag and wouldn't mind going with momo, sparco, etc. However, the wife wants me to have an airbag (mainly because sometimes she drives it too). So I have to go one of many ways... either search for a used MSP wheel with orange stitching, get a bland boring P5 wheel, go to Mazda and pay out the a$$ for a new wheel (can you even get the MSP ed. wheel anymore?), or go with a different model of Mazda. I know Nardi made a wheel for a few Mazda's. I saw one where instead of a Flying M logo it had the Nardi logo (not like the MP3's mind you).
I would prefer not to spend a whole lot but I know getting an official Mazda part complete with airbag won't be cheap. Also, if I get an MSP/P5 replacement, I don't need the airbag as I have the stock one and it's in fine condition. It's the painted leather on the outside of the wheel that's peeling.
