I don't know if you guys can answer this or not, but I figure this is as good a place as any.

I currently have a 2wd 2004 V8 silverado extended cab. I'm 19, no tickets or wrecks. How much can I expect my insurance to go up from this truck to a speed3? I know I can't ask for specifics, just a general range.

just call and ask your insurance guy.....

Yeah, insurance rates vary wildly from place to place & situation to situation. Best thing to do is call your insurance company for a quote, or seriously- try Progressive's web site for a quick quote & get 3-4 different rates at once. No commitment to buy when you get a quote check from them.

Being 19 you'll probably get ***** on insurance, even though you have good driving record. I wanna guess $250 a month for you. When being so young, you're a gold mine for insurance companies. If you're a single male under 25, then you're pretty much boned. But once you turn 21 it starts dropping slowly.

32 yrs old Tallahassee, FL - $660 a year w/full coverage

I know, 10 yr old piece crap clunker is still 1200, bmw m3 is 2150 so it really doesnt matter what you drive ur gettin bent over anyways (idhitit)

which is why i would never think of moving anywhere near NYC...not to mention you have jersey so close and we all know they suck at driving as a collective whole lawl :)

where do you live? I work for Allstate Insurance i could see what kinda rates you'd be looking at if you want

i wish i could joke,

i am 16 and foreign not a good combo when you live in city

Well I'm glad I held my tongue, but wow...I wouldn't even own a car, much less one that was costing me $6K a year just for insurance. You do realize that the first year of insurance for your MS3 is coming close to how much you bought it for, right? You must have some deep pockets to afford that nonsense at 16, no offense.

no kidding...my suggestion to you since you're 16...

Have it insured in your parents name and list you as a secondary driver...saved me thousands of dollars when i was your age

OP, go to www.insweb.com and enter your information and you will get quotes w/o obligation. It's a good thing that your MVR will be clean and so is your loss history. That will help to offset your age and vehicle choice.

Getting quotes based on your information will give you a clearer idea of what to expect versus asking other people what they pay, as their location, policy limits, driving history, claims history and credit history will differ from yours.

lmao your probably 3 blocks from me right now. I work on broadway n 8th street. You should come to one of the meets we have in queens. Theres one tonight actually. we meet up every thursday. Lots of knowledgeable guys there that can help you look over the car n give you some tips

i would dream of insurance under parents coverage but they are still back home. I live currently with host family and attend NYU in city. I are blessed with a great brain to attend such great school at my age but suffer bad English and high insurance premiums.

Where are you from?

16 and at NYU?

Not bad...just please stay away from Maryland because I don't want a 16 year old with 300+ HP at his feet driving near me :)
