Would a 17x8 rim with a 225/40/17 tire on it not fill the wheel well properly causing it to look silly?

first pic i posted of my actual car, nevermind the ghetto rattlecan for this event haha. but it gave me ideas for the wheel refinish next week.
specs are 18x8 with 45mm offset, 225/40 Ventus V12Evo tires.
these wheels were on my previous car (08 VW R32) and had been professionally painted white to match that car, and i didnt like that look on the silver...

Alrighty. Probably a 3-5mm spacer will do the trick.
It will look really small.

swampass your rim and tire setup looks like our fellow NEPOC member bruce with a red miata hardtop. i like the beefy tire look. its a new upcoming style. very FRRRREEEESSSSSHHHHHH!

thats def not beefy tires....it looks more like 40 inches of wheel spacers with a crappy rim and awesome wheel well gold plated guards. and i know that if i was voting for that car it would have been on the burley exhaust and tin foiled fuel door

Any rubbing issues on that setup?
Only on the cars in the lanes next to me. Other than that I'm good. Had to roll the fenders a tad.

Reminds me of my '70 Camaro SS I had way back in the day, with 14X7 inch front and 14X10 slot mags and air shocks in the back to give it a mean rake! Now that car handled...like a dump truck (headbang)...but it was still cooler on it's worst day than Jchouin1's pimp mah ride!
