MS3 Owners: Show us your wheels

im not here to squabble with you...but...u did get rid of the TC for a reason right? And....u are driving an MS3 right? (dunno)

It was a Coupe, I often drive with passengers and having to let them in and out through the front seats all the time is fail and it was getting to the point where it was more of a project than my DD.

I got the MS3 because I liked it for what it was out of the box. (drive2) I've been fighting the mod bug somewhat successfully sofar.

I'm sure I'll get around to more serious mods when/if I decide to pick up a second vehicle. I'm thinking about trading in the Speed for the VW R20 when it comes out.

good luck with that...hope ur window doesnt fall out the track like every veedub owner ive ever known lol....now...since u officially hate MS3s and ur in a MS3 section of this forum....(gtfo)

HAHAHA....jk homie, good luck with the window for real though.

Hell no, I love my MS3... there's not an ounce of hate in my body for it. (headbang)

The only thing that's frustrating about the car is how finicky it is towards mods. Bolt On for Bolt On, other cars kill us.

Robbie is a pioneer for the MS3 guys, and a cool guy, but taking his path is a very expensive one that most guys will opt not to do because price.

Who know's I may keep the MS3 as a DD and just buy a project car, or the other way around... buy a DD and turn the MS3 project car. It's all up in the air though, I can't say for sure what I'm going to do.

Trying to not tottaly derail this thread... (friday)

17" x 8" Enkei RPF1

I just got these 15.5 lbs. Enkei RPF1 in 17" x 8" wrapped in Potenza RE760 in 235/45R17 size. The difference in acceleration was immediately noticeable compared the the OEM 18" x 7" wheels.

I know the 18" with the lower profile tires look nicer, but the 17" wheels are the way to go for the streets with all the potholes and bumps.

so my +44 offset should clear the front strut just FINE if i went with a 245 40 next time. sweet.. but the rear are gonna rub :( time to roll hehe

Yeah, your +44's will stick out more than mine, so clearing the strut is no problem.
I can barely squeeze my pinky between the tire and the strut with +50 offset.

You'll definitely wanna roll the fenders. I grabbed the fender with my 225's (doh)

with my 235 i only rub over big bumps with passengers.

Your fronts will fit fine. But if you get full coilovers, you'll most likely need a spacer with that width tire.

i have coilovers, and the fronts are REALLY close, so yeah, probably will need spacers, or might try to get the real deal te37 in 18x8.5 +40 instead of the grids in +44 that i have now
