CulRidr's MP3 N/A build (~150whp goal)

Well, I DO have some big overlap...so it is supposed to sound lopey.
But ya the idle will surely be smoothed out once I get her nice and tuned. They adjusted the idle screw so I'm idling at ~800rpm IIRC. I'll look at that tonight.

First impression, even without the tune; drove around for about an hour and the car just kept on feeling stronger. It pulls harder and harder as time goes, and I'm just itching to push it past 4000 (I shifted ONCE at 5000 not realizing how fast the RPMs rose on one highway pull in 2nd...)

nice! Wish I could get a ride :-)

Sounds good, a bit bad on the idle though?

that'll be the NA twiggies (which have some absolutely insane overlap) combined with a sub-par tune.

CulRidr: 800rpm on those cams is a bit of an achievement....higher compression surely helps - but given its untuned, that idle is actually quite smooth for those cams....certainly sounds good....can't wait to hear it scream :)

So ya it's 850rpms after all, but ya it holds steady with no problem once it's warmed up :)

Bloody hell; those endlinks are teasing me because I can't find my lock nut to take off the wheels...GRRR!

Lock nut key problem resolved; the "stealership" forgot to give it back...just picked it up.
Those endlinks are being installed tonight if I get back at a decent time from the datalogging/hopeful reflashing.

God damn is it ever nice to have a more quiet ride (relatively speaking considering the car isn't exactly subtle...). No more clunks, front or back, nice and quiet, endlinks feel solid once installed. Will surely review again later after more then 20kms are put on them, but definitely a nice starting point. Curious to see how long the bushings will last!

Don't know but she's running pig rich up top (no surprise), and feels like its got a bunch right now. We did a few pulls to the factory redline (~6800 or so depending on the gear, apparently) and it pulled hard, but with AFRs in the high 11s/low 12s...reflashed ECU should be in on Monday (I hope), and then I'll drive around with it for a while. Get it on a dyno, tweak it, and have the final flash in after that.
