Purchasing a CX-9

Richarrd,

I was not shopping for Touring so i am not sure if that is a Good price.

What is the preferred buyers card? How can i get one? I am goin in to purchase today.

Also I would try the "Costco Auto Buyer" Program. If you are not a member of Costco, sign up. It will be worth your while.

If you get a rebate you have to sign papers on it either giving it to the dealer, to the bank or yourself. No such thing as getting a rebate without knowing it.

If anyone wants to help a new purchaser, you need to have them always shoot for tissue plus the rebate(if available) and low interest rate. That is a good deal and anyone should be happy for it. Of course this is in the current model year and does not count for old MY vehicles which can easily be bought for less then the tissue + rebates.

There are so many items you can use to haggle your way through a deal but at what cost.

Are you selling your vehicles? What are you talking about(confused)

exactly what I wrote. Instead of giving a line of proposed bull about crazy pricing on new MY vehicles, people should help and guide new buyers using reality and not dreams.

Are you selling your vehicles?

If my eye sight does not fail me,...
"Customers must present the original Mazda Preferred Buyer's Card at the time of the purchase...Void if copied."

"original" is the key here.
Do you think a jpg from the web would work?

Good Question: I did asked about it and was told that then just need the Buyer's card #, which is on the bottom and that it. I will check it out. Or maybe someone would reply back that used it.

Buyer's Card

My card that I had to turn in to the dealer had my name and a number on the card. The card was sent with a letter thanking for my interest in a Mazda. It is a unique card to you only.

I just picked up my rig.

Got the 2009 CX9 Grand Touring | Black on Black | DVD ENT with Bose and Sirius | GT Assist Navigation | Towing Package

No Roof Rack... So negotiated then down another $250

Paid: $33,859
Invoice: $38,809
MSRP: $41,405

"Costco Auto Buyer" Program

The $500 Preferred card Did NOT Work. I printed and brought it in. It has to be issued from Mazda or a Mazda Employee. I called Mazda and they were not available. But more may be issued, so i would call and check. Mazda USA Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-222-5500
Also try calling some dealerships and see if they have any Preferred cards you could use.

$33,859 - Plus Tax and License.

Also i shopped Interest rates. Found a 3.99% with Penfed.com. I paid $20 to join the NMFA and became a member of Penfed.

PenFed took 2 days to get the loan to an underwriter. I went into the Mazda Dealer to Buy the Car and told them I had a 3.99% Rate Pending Approval. The Mazda Dealer Ran Our Credit on the Spot, and First Tech Credit Union Matched it at 3.99%. Bank of America offered 4.5%. But before we filled out the app to become a member of First Tech Credit Union... Bank of America Called Back and Matched the 3.99%. I have been with BofA for 15 years and took the loan with them.

So... I was seeing 5% to 5.5% Online... Then I found Penfed at 3.99%. Every Dealer I talked to said 4.5% Best.

But when I brought a 3.99% to compete with... Two banks matched it.

Bottomline, If you Have Good Credit 3.99% is available. And... who knows... if I said 3.49%, would I have got it? Maybe!

Almost 8k or so under MSRP but settling for a poor interest rate.(uhm)

Still looking for proof of these amazing deals. I have dealt with Costco Auto Buyer program before and it was $250 above invoice. Now they are giving almost 8k under invoice(scratch)

I wouldn't say 3.99% APR is a bad rate. It's pretty good in fact considering it is not from Mazda Financial. Sure you can get 0% and forgo the rebate. But it is almost always best to get the rebates and either pay cash or try to get a reasonable rate and pay it off ASAP.

If he has gotten 6% APR (for good credit), then your argument would make sense. Give the customer $8k off then make it up with the higher interest rate than he would otherwise qualify for.
