- Shortshifter and bashing
I think bashing your car will void the warranty. I'm not sure though.

Does ignoring spell check void the Warren G?
I wouldn't try to build any relationship with your dealer. They rip you off on oil changes and anything really. Even if you install something as simple as a CAI, and something bad happens . . . who knows what they will do. Luck of the draw there.
Had a friend with the best "relationship" with a subaru dealer. Had them install a bunch of his mods and knew everyone there. He blew his tranny and they turned their backs on him. Pretty sad.
Bottom line is if you don't want your warranty jeapordized, than stick to removable mods that you can pop in and out. Some dealers wont void your warranty but they might still refuse to work on your car.
The only mod that I will eventually have and wont remove for dealer visit would probably be springs.

bulls***.
building a relationship is key.
thats how i have the mods i do and my warranty isnt void. thats why adding a FMIC isnt giong to void my warranty. and i will find out soon if they will turn a cheek to my dp as well.
so building a relationship is extremely important.
to the OP, go speak with the service manager, get to tknow the techs. let the service manager know what type of mods you are looking at getting and get his thoughts. thats what i did and it was a great idea. my service manager was cool with intake, bov and fmic b/c he said they would make the car rum more efficiently. cool with MM b/c he knew the stock one was s***. and the techs turn a cheek to the tp
also, get to know the techs. the techs will hide stuff from the service manager if the service manager isnt cool with something
