Come in PEACE

First of all I'd like to thank you for your approach in trying to find out about this car while retaining your love for your current car. People rarely have any edicate online anymore. This is a great DD with some balls and a great balance of performance, handling, and comfort. You can bolt on a few goodies to satisfy the modding bug but it is pretty nice right out the box. I'd keep modding the 240 to be your bad boy and let the MS3 be your daily toy. Hardly anyone can distiguish the MS3 from a regular 3 till you get on it and pull away. Its not the fastest on the street but it is pretty fast and I get 25-28 mpgs (70/30 highway/city). Be carefull though it is easy to fall in love with a Mazda! I does great at the road course and won't shame you at the drags. It is also a GREAT highway passing car.

Thanks guys. I like mazdas -- think I will find a late model MS3, MS6 or MX5speed. I just wonder if there will be another mazdaspeed 6? I know the 3 is coming but it will be about the only mazdaspeed around.

Ok you must be new or something. Becuase theres over 20 instances where these motors have popped with full bolt-ons and Cobb AP on another forum. They actually have a few threads dedicated to it. And at 350hp on a non-built motor (atleast rods) is asking for trouble.

Thanks for the correction, it was my understanding these motors were forged....i guess its just the crank.....Guess what my new plans are lol(glare)

what 240 forums do you go to?
i used to own a 98 and 89 240sx

there have been some cases where the rods have bent and not snapped completely, so it was caught before it went through the block. some say the rods are forged, but not all forged products are created equally.
