Does anyone know how to take off the piece that the dealership drills holes into to put your license plate on?

without seeing it... I'm guessing your talking about one of the big black plastic types? If you take off your plate, you should see two screws there holding it to your bumper, undo those to remove. Unless its a differen't kind that I haven't seen.

You don't need a How-To. You first remove the front bumper. With that off, you'll see that there are several bolts and a shatload of clips holding the mustache in place.

Before you ask, you HAVE to remove the front bumper.

kain's right. it's under voldemort's 3 how to section labeled 'How to install new bumper protector to remove Front License Plate Holes.'

my 2 cents - not worth the time taking the bumper off and money (~$30) as the replacement mustache has two little dimples on it as well to guide the front license plate screws.

go add a low tone fiamm horn for $15 instead and honk like a man.

I removed my front bumper to install my CAI anyway, so I figured while it was off, I'd swap out for an undrilled 'stache in the process. But yes, I wouldn't bother unless you have the bumper off for another reason (CAI, FMIC, horns, etc.).

Nice! You got it on order spoolin? Hope they treated you well :)

I just popped in some black plastic snap plugs from Pep Boys to fill the holes and called it a day!
