What have you done to your MSP today?

how much you selling the rh's for? also when you get it here let me know and maybe we can do a photoshoot
we can def do a shoot.. not sure how much. depends on the condition.. somewhere in the 350-450 range i would imagine... they're suppose to be close to mint.

The psi would of to be way low on stock internals no?

What are you aiming for?.........or is it a secret? (glare)

not really a secret.. i believe i'm going to go with an 8:1 compression motor, speed circuit stage 1 head, and i'm going to upgrade the internals of the head. and get integral 2.5/3 cams.. built par transmission, and a custom turbo kit..

the thing is, i'm doing it all myself.(with machine shop help)..but i'm going to be putting everything together that i can myself. and welding up the kit and what not.:)

new radiator and rotors, found out the code for the parking brake light and the abs could be a bad speed sensor on the left rear brake. damn

is it necessary to fix immediately or could i hold off since it is only on one wheel and save up for it to be fixed

do you care if your ABS works? this would determine the urgency.

not really, im not driving that crazy to save $ on gas and to keep from getting a ticket. im also only driving the msp four days in a 7 day week so not really, ill just save up for it

yeah, long as you're being defensive you'll never need it. if you do end up in an emergency stop.. just remember, you stepped back a couple decades in technology, so your car doesn't turn with your foot planted on the brake. all you gotta do is choose: stop, or turn.

yup, i used to have a non-abs car and im used to pumping the brake but.....doing this will f up the other brakes and my abs. ill just go around, i found a rear abs speed sensor on onlinemazdaparts.com for 85 bucks so that is not that bad

it just disables the ABS, shouldn't hurt anything.

whats this rust prevention experiment?
I have surface rust popping up here and there. The only part I have worked on thus far has been the driver's side door. You'll see in the pictures that I haven't been very successful. I used Permetex Naval Jelly the first time and it wasn't liquid enough to get into the gaps and creases to do any good. So I bought some stuff called Ospho, which is phosphoric acid based, and has gotten good reviews as a rust fighter. I applied some to the drivers side tow hook, so we'll see tomorrow how that turns out.

Driver's tow hook, other side looks the same.

There are P5s in the area that have serious rear wheel well rust/rot. Seems to happen with these cars up here, just not as bad as Hondas. The drivers side door that I have worked on does look better after the work I have done, so hopefully if I keep at it I can hold it back long enough for the car to see 150k or more. I'm close to 80k now.

ordered a steedspeed exhuast mani for it today!

now i just have to:

install the mani
install the rear motor mount
figure out what that damned rattle coming from the bottom of the car is
replace/fix my front passenger side brakes
figure out how to avoid the leak on the bottom of my coolant catch tank

and i'll be happy!
