werd hiss sound please help!!!

ok, so there is this were hissing kind of sound almost like air is being let out or sucked in such it would probably sound if i had an intake or something, it is most noticeable in 1st and 2nd after about 2500 RPM is this a boost leak or something (this is my first turbo car so bare with me) or is this normal. car is completely stock and only has about 400 miles on her never noticed it before but i have had the windows rolled down lately because of nice weather, thanks

Is this something that all of a sudden happened? Seeing how it only has 400 miles and its your first turbo car... I would have to say its the turbo hissing that you here.

is the turbo really that loud stock? its more something i just noticed with the windows being down you cant hear it really with the windows up,the noise does seem to go with the RPM

lol this may have been a dumb question if its just the turbo but i'm overly paranoid i just dident think you could hear it that well without doin anything to it

Haha... don't worry man, it's just the turbo. Mine's stock too... and when you roll down the windows and don't have the stereo on you can hear the faint hiss of the turbo spooling. Perfectly normal.

either that or if it's a very big concern to you...take it to the dealer since ur still under warranty...no charge at all...it took u 400 miles just to finally hear this noise ....it could be something else other then the turbo

well i bought it with 85 miles on it and for the first tank it was cold outside so i had the windows up and music goin so i just noticed it now but its all good haha if it is something else id assume it will get worse then ill go to the dealer

You can always check that the clamps on the intercooler piping on cold and hot side are tight. Some members on here had theirs loose or come off.
