Any photographers in here?

Anyways, here's my latest HDR contributions. Both were hand-held using the Automatic Exposure Bracketing (AEB) function on the camera. I'll have more from the airshow this week:

wow, steady hand. Nice pics.

Very nice job with the HDR's, they aren't overly fake.

And AWD. Maybe my work monitor is crap, but I can't see anything.

Question for you guys. I'm new to DSLR and I've noticed I get a lot of noise with my darker photos. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Kind of hard to see here (anyone know how I get flickr to not resize my photos?) but especially in the shadow of the ship it's very grainy. Any ideas for reducing this via photoshop?
*edit* Nikon d60 in fine mode, 7.3 MB per pic
ISO- 200

F/stop- 7.1

what camera are you shooting with? also do you shoot in jpeg or raw? on flikr you will probably just have to link to your gallery and we can look from there.

You are going to have noise in most dark area's at pretty much any ISO. That's just digital for you. Some is worse than others. Nikon has a noise reduction option somewhere in the menu that you might try to find. I would tell you but I have the D80 and I am pretty sure the menu's are different.

Photoshop does have a noise reduction plugin/filter whatever. Sometimes it does a good job sometimes it doesn't. If you really want serious results. There are programs designed just for nose redustion (Noise Ninja IIRC).
But in most cases the noise really isn't enough to worry about because most people simple wont see it.

As promised, here are the photos from the air show this past weekend. Usually, I shoot 200-300 shots at an airshow, only to get maybe 6 or 7 that I am comfortable with sharing. I'm pretty anal about my pictures, but this time around I got a solid 18 photos from the weekend. Below are the best of the best, but feel free to click on the link below to see the whole set.

OK i see it now AWDTerror! Very...Interesting

And Flyin: What lens do you have!! That is hella close for planes at an air show!! Very Very awesome shots!!
I love the F-22 climbing, with the condensation on the leading edge right behind the cockpit.

I was shooting with my Canon 55-250 IS lens, so nothing too special. Its all about positioning at the show, timing the shot and hella cropping.

If you ever get the chance to go to an airshow with an F-22, I'd suggest you drop everything to see it! That thing puts on one of the most impressive displays ever and I don't get tired of seeing it. It specializes in ripping vapor out of the air!
