What have you done to your P5 today?

it's an easy install. you shouldn't have an issue.just using the wedge brackets and the sliders, i was too low for my taste. so i went to lowes and grabbed some 1x1 or 2x2 square metal..(the nameof it escapes my mind) and bolted that stuff in between the bracket and the slider. brought me up to a perfect level.
Yeah, I'm not too worried about the install itself - the side airbags are what worry me. Yeah, I need to pick up some hardware to mount the brackets to the sliders so perhaps I will be looking into some spacers as well. I won't know until everything is installed though.
I got my wedge bracket yesterday too magnum. The quality is top notch and only took 3 weeks for mine?!?
I thought you got yours from another member here? I don't know, maybe they make them in waves or something and you got lucky because they has already started. The only thing that worries me a little is that it looks like the bolt holes on the brackets are really small!

1800.00 budget?? ROFL. you are wayyy over that.:(

yeah, that was what i had saved. just to get her running with the turbo before the 29th (i'm moving and need the parts in the car since i'm losing my garage) i am throwing another 700 at the right parts and tools. I'll have fun paying for it over the summer :( one less night out a week over the whole summer is gonna be lame...

Well...figured out the calipers at the dealership...you actually have you use the air gun and pressure them out...the hole on the back is where you stick the air thing, and the pistons kind of just popped right out...pretty cool...now others will know as well...

Make sure whoever is doing the powder coating does not get any coating in the piston bore, otherwise the SOB will leak like a sieve.

hmmm.... anyone snap a swaybar tab yet on the BC-Coilovers?
I did and i'm very sad... i need to find a spare strut so i can send in the broken one under warrenty

^^^...howd you manage that....

good question... i just noticed it today... when i heard some clunking going on in the rear... checked it out and sure enough the tab snapped on the rear right corner... on the coilover just a small part cracked off. probably has something to do with pushing the car to the limits on hairpin turns

seriously, they looked pretty beefy the last time I held one in my hand. Bad weld on the housing maybe? Considering the number of folks that have these now, I'd think it's a one-off failure.

yes the tab is pretty beefy... but it's totally reinforced on the strut tube... mine snapped right at the end of the tab... i'll get some shots for ya :)

^^^ Did you torque that endlink bolt down with an impact wrench? I wonder if you just torqued it down too much that it actually weakened that tab?

nope... you can't impact it cuz you need to stick an allen wrench in there to keep the bolt from spinning... on top of that i had it on for about 10months with no problems until now

all in all the BC coilovers are good products... i'm just waiting on a response from them on how i go about replacing the broken coilover... my main problem is not having replacment struts on hand and i can't just take it off because my car is daily driven

long story with that...but dude backed out after i paid so i ordered a drivers bracket from wedge. well the bolts that came with my sparco seat also thread into the wedge bracket. so im gonna have to source some more allen head bolts like that ones what came with my seat. i should know more innna another month or so when i get my car pieced together(hi)

Yea...he assured me that they had done calipers before and told me what all they would cover before I even told him...he said that entire area would be covered...

i went an got the oil changed. i could have done it myself but ive been busy. now i think the ppl put 5w30 in... should i panic? idk. why does it even use 10w30 ? its just a lil 4cyl.

I don't follow, why does it being a 4 cyl matter for using 10w30???
