tenzo cuzco titanium bronze

This post is interesting...

I love my Tenzo's, but I realize that they are Tenzo's. I bought them because I thought they would look pretty on my car, and I didn't have a whole lot of cash on me at the time.

I'm confused as to where the argument is here? My Tenzo's retail for something like $250 a piece (just guessing). The BBS probably retail for almost a grand a piece. I realize that this is not always the case, but don't you usually get what you pay for?

The BBS Lm's are one of the most classic wheels of all time, they look good on ******* anything. They are well made, from a known and reliable company. My Tenzo's are made be a cheap manufacturer, looking to make money by selling more wheels at cheaper prices.

I realize this, and I don't care. I bought them because they are pretty. Maybe that makes me an idiot, who knows? At the same time, if I had the coin, and liked a set of BBS Lm's, what could you (or anyone) possibly have against me (or anyone) for doing that?

This all comes down to preference really. I think my rims look nice, you think they are ugly. You think I need more/less power mods, I don't give a s***. We all buy/mod/whatever our cars for ourselves, not anyone else.

I think Wastegate13's rims look ******* SICK on that car with that colour and stance, and I would want my car to look like that in heart-beat. But I also love the look in my Tenzo's on my Speed3.

I guess I just fail to see how there can be any argument here?

Now please ignore this comment and continue arguing :)

Its just like everything with cars. There is always diminishing returns. As you get toward higher end cars/car parts you pay a lot more to get smaller and smaller gains. BBS, definitely better but, 4 times as expensive. 4 times better? probably not.

I completely agree with everything said in this post.

The argument started when people took offense to me referring to Tenzo as a "cheaper wheel company". That's not opinion, that's fact. Then they proceeded, as this always ends, to say that I was "******* stupid" for spending MY money on MY wheels. Would I like to see more members buying higher-end wheels from quality manufacturers? Yes I would but I don't "hate" anyone who has Rotas or Tenzos on their car. I have had Rotas in the past and never had a problem with them at all.

My father told me something a long time ago. Do like you can until you can afford to do like you want to. I am in the position to do like I want to.

I don't know if I or anyone can state wether or not they are 4 times better. Kind of depends on the person that buys them doesn't it? I guess I still fail to see the problem with buying expensive rims. Even if they are only 1.5x or 2x better (if you COULD put a number on it), what is the issue?

Tenzo most certainly is a cheaper wheel company, seeing as their rims are cheaper. That is an inarguable a fact as there is. Just as Kia is a cheaper car manufacturer than Porsche. If you buy a Kia and love it, good on you. If you buy your Porsche and love it, all the best. I'm not hating on Tenzo's or BBS, I'm just saying let's all have a little respect for each others personal taste and preference.

That is a fantastic quote, and I think it should pretty much end the argument in this thread. I bought my cheap wheels because I didn't want to spend $3000 on expensive ones, you did. I like my cheap wheels, you like your expensive wheels. Perfect! We all get what we wanted.

Cheers.

P.S., I'm not sure why I felt inclined to post this and try to stop arguing. Isn't arguing the beauty of message boards? Everyone has their opinions, and message boards allow one to filter through the many differing opinions. That's just my opinion anyway ;)

You guys are getting out of hand with the whole cheap wheel...baller wheel arguement, who really cares about who has the big money to spend on there cars and who doesn't. Its not like were rolling 45k BMW's or something, its a Mazda3 Hatchback in case you forgot. Alot of people buy things depending on there prioritys and responsibilitys, sure i could go out and charge my Visa for a set of (BBS) wheels that i would love to have, but for me that wouldn't be the smartest thing considering I am married and have a 13 month old child. I've been in the car game for more than 15 years and i've spent thousands of dollars, so at the age of 38 a cheaper wheel will suffice for now and my car will still draw attention. You guys need to appreciate each others differences and enjoy the fact that we all have something in common on this forum.

Well

i have a 2009 mazdaspeed 3 Im deciding on some titanium bronze tenzo cuzco ver 1 in 18x 8 with a 45 offset but wanted to get the 37 offset was just wondering if u think if I would have issue with rubbing or fitment problems with that low of a offset or should I just stick with the 45 offset. Cause I want that concave look any feedback and advice will be greatly appreciated thank you.
What did you decide after all our enlightening?

That is awesome that you are liking the wheels. They never look like you think they will when shopping and deciding. It took me a couple months! I was pleased after mounting. they have been on for about 20000 miles. And when i look at them and the nice rotors i just like them more then ever actually. Glad you got them and i hope you dig them a long while! nice tire to match too.
