- Purchase a lower grill insert replacement
- Purchase DG grill
-Remove the vertical tabs from backside of insert and carefully clean up goobers from where it was attached. Take your time with the clean up and use a new/sharp razor. (I removed the tabs w/ a dremel tool)
- Lay grill upside down (on towel) and set the grill in proper place so that everything is lined up and equally linear
- Using a silver sharpie, make alignment marks on the insert and grill once everything is lined up. The markings will help you keep the grill in the right place. Remember your working from the backside and don't have a front view to check for alignment. These markings will save you....trust me
- Once the two are aligned cut the excess of grill away....basically you're just cutting the insert into the shape of the grill
- Now you need to EPOXY the HELL out of it! Be creative and get into all the crooks, crannys and crevices that needs epoxy.
- Follow the directions on the epoxy for drying time before installation.
Voila! Now you have a beautiful and custom DG grill.
