What have you done to your P5 today?

Now it is Friday...just 1 more day for the motor...
 
New tire is coming in tomorrow as well as the new midpipe. Gotta see what gaskets I need but other than that, full exhaust should be on there sometime very soon. The tire should be on tomorrow or Saturday. Man I hate riding around with a donut. The car just feels naked.
 
I got a set of 35w 8000k HIDs today.. i dont know when i can install them though =(

installed my turbo but now my car is acting weird.... keeps blowing the IC pipes off... no matter how mard i clamp them down.. and the oil return is leaking no matter what i do.. i have changed the fitting a few times... maybe it is because it is clamped over the steel braded part....

anyone got mpi tuner drivers for vista also? if i cant get it to work im just gonna sell it

lol, that's what it's listed as on the onlinemazdaparts.com when you type in the part number. Had to call Jason there to find out how it was listed again. Checked awhile back but didn't buy the part & just remembered it had some funny name on the web site.

IIRC, the drivers only went up to w2k unless some new ones snuck out at some point. Not thinkin they even work with xp. Was just gonna use a junk laptop running w2k I have with mine but haven't hooked it up yet even tho I have all the parts now.

You have tiptronic? You didn't do any hard gear downs into 1 did you? I mean, the systems prevents it...but sometimes you never know....
Yes, my truck is 5 spd, P5 is sportauto. I haven't down shifted it more than a coupla times by accident from 2 to 1 with higher than cool rpms but like you said wasn't crazy bad due to the limiter action on it. I think it may just be due to the frequency of use not abuse. I use manual mode pretty much all the time except recently when it started to act up a bit. It still goes to 1 when you stop but won't go from 4 to 3 to 2 even when slow enough rpms. I don't use down shifting for engine braking or any craziness with it due to it's known fragileness in oem trim.
 
Dude, that HID kit is a breeze, unless you want to tuck the ballasts behind the bumpers
 
Get some t-bolt clamps eventhough I have a few regular clamps pushing alot more cfm so reg clamps should do. Sounds rediculous but spray some hairspray on the piping and retry it works wonders! On the oil return you need to clamp on the hose only!

I'm gonna be going back to the OEM motor mount on the rear mount

I've got AWR inserts that I may never even mess with back there due to folks' experiences & the fact that my sportauto probably isn't workin that one out much. Visually it seems to be intact sooo...lo priority to no priority.
 
i've got AWR duro front and rear with inserts on the sides.

I regret doing the rear mount
 
OK, I lied...I have RR front insert on the car, AWR insert for pass side on car, AWR insert for drvr side not on car & CS blue insert for rr not on car.
