What have you done to your Miata today?

Same as last year, just new rear top hats and not-bent control arms. Koni RACE shocks, hyperco 2.25" springs, koni threaded sleeves.

yes it is :D

big big improvement on what i had before

Looking at maybe putting in some braided lines but not sure if its worth the $$ tho

if you like a good solid pedal feel, its worth it

on my specmiata ('91), i use the advanced autosports braided lines sheathed in clear-
http://advanced-autosports.com/PROD05_brake_components.htm

on my street car ('99), I have the lines racingbeat sells-
http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset.asp?PartNumber=54520

the advanced autosports ones are less expensive and, in my opinion, nicer. they're also DOT legal because of the sheathing they're molded into. I got the racingbeat set for my street car a couple years before I ever thought of building a specmiata... they both have the same great consistent and firm pedal feel, both just as easy to install... if i ever need to replace the lines on my street car, I will just get another set of the advanced autosports, because of the DOT legal sheathing and price...

I've also got a set of lines from racingbeat on my RX7 (my autocross car)

do any you guys have a master cylinder stopper?

if so can someone point to where i can get one thats not gona cost a fortune

look like lot of people are blowing engines,..,wut is this guys? lol

What engines are you speaking of? Miata or RX series rotaries? To be honest, I'm not hearing about that many of either. We own one of each and have had no problems out of them. If you run anything long and hard enough, something has to give, eventually.

Tomorrow is the last *official* drive until I get back Stateside. I drove her today, because I forgot some important papers at the hotel & couldnt wait 4 hours for the base shuttle. Blasting down the freeway with no plates was fun...it kinda freaks people out.

Welcome home.

Today, I saw the painter again. It should be getting paint, soon. He's got most of the dings out of it and is into final sanding before primer. The seats may be done, this week. I sure miss my Miata.

Looked at her and shook my head. Shes so filthy but im supposed to wait thirty days to wash/wax it. I want her to be pretty again!!!

A whole month? I won't be waiting that long to wash mine when I get it home. I'll have a show to get ready for. I'll just be gentle with it. One thing I'll need to work on is the engine compartment, for sure. I know there'll be some sanding dust in there. You could maybe do the same for your car as you wait for the paint to dry. Be gentle, that is.

will do. have a due date for your car?

wondering why the brakes are making noise now (just changed brakes)

I guess I did need new rotors. They probably havent been changed/shaved ever.

No. I didn't pressure him. I want it done right. He said it would take three weeks to a month to paint it. He does other jobs around it so it isn't the only thing he's doing. That keeps some money coming in as he plods along on my car. I haven't seen it since Monday; so, it most likely has priimer on it, at least. Once he has that sanded where he wants it, it won't take long to spray the color. It's the sanding between coats, etc that takes a while. I may go over there later today and see how it's coming. I haven't heard anything on my seats, either. I need to speak to the owner of the shop, if they aren't done the next time I call. He's already past when he said he'd have those done. There's no rush, yet; but, I'll need them when the painter is done.
