Pics of Falken 452's

I'm running 225/45's BFGoodrich G-Force Sports on my stocker wheels. It fits just fine. The right is less harsh and smooth unlike the stock tires. I'm also lowered on BC coilovers that have a little more then a finger gap all the way around.

Sorry, I don't. I never took pictures. You do notice the difference on the the car looks though. They're a little taller and wider. I believe RADAR_THIS has 225/45's too.

My handling problems were with daily driving. It made the car a huge pain in the ass to drive, even to work every day. I literally caused a huge accident one day as I was getting on the freeway. The car caught a little asphalt patch like I was describing and twitched so hard a guy in a Commander next to me thought I was merging into him. He over-reacted, swerved, and took out a Malibu in the next lane. Sent her into the median and totaled her car. I took the 452s off shortly thereafter...

If you just want traction for drag racing, keep the Potenzas for daily driving and throw on a pair of drag radials for nights at the track. Those will hook up better than anything and you won't have to live with them the rest of the time.

When your little incident happen were you running on the stock rims? They have a solid strip down the center of the tires for stability at higher speeds.

I know that slicks are the best way to go for drag racing, but I'm not going to spend money on tires that I use a few times at the track :)

P.S. - how do you like your nano? Im putting mine in today, along with cpe's inlet!!

I like it a lot, especially the hissing noise it makes. I will be getting the inlet as well as soon as my tax return arrives.

Not sure why anyone would put a tire that doesn't perform at least as well as the stock tire (for the MS3) on their car... you have a performance car, use a high end performance tire. I think most don't realize how important it is, having a good/bad tire can make a huge difference in how your car handles...

+1 Seems everyone is very quick to cheap out on their wheels and tires.

Are you implying that Falken 452's aren't as good as the stock tires? I would never get a tire that is worse than the stock tire, I would always strive to get one better in performance. If I am at all disappointed with these tires, I will simply sell them and get the KDW's or RT-615's.

I should be getting the tires tomorrow, pics and impressions will be posted when I get them!

i run falken fk452's on what the mazdaspeed aluminum 18" accessory wheel, not the stock ones on my ms6. and i love them. i have the 225/45/18 and they handle better than the stock tires imho.

right now they are 7.5" but i'll be putting them on a 8" rim in a few weeks. but i run 225/45/18 dunlop winter sport m3's on my stock wheels for the winter and they are a great winter handling tire.

I guess I will be the first one to use these tires on a MS3 stock rim then. After the money I spent on them I sure hope they perform well!

I don't know if it's my 8" wheel or 235 tire, but mine were not fine. By any means.

bova please let me know if/how things change when you go to the 8" wheel.

I got 235/45 R18 Falken 912's yesterday. I am a little worried that my speedo is off now that I have the bigger tire... But oh well.

The tires do tramline a little more. I have a slight alignment issue, but the car will still go straight as an arrow on smooth, new pavement.

I'm also on the stock rims. I havn't seen anyone else run 235's on stock rims? I got a pretty decent price on them ($109 a tire), and they have a 40,000 mile treadwear warantee. I wish i went with a directional tread b/c it looks better, although the 912's arn't a bad looking tire. They are def. bigger then the stockers, u can feel them a little more in the car. So far I like them, but I really want to try BFG Gforces next!

Hmm, maybe you're experiencing more tramlining due to the extra wide tire on your stock rims. I should get my tires in tomorrow!!

they are quite a bit wider then the stock tires... But they look good. I Think next time will be a 225/45 BFG...

But I got atleast 40,000 miles ti'll I have to worry about that.

Just finished a spirited drive with my new tires, I now have complete traction in 2nd gear. Handling feels slightly improved and ride comfort has definitely improved. I don't hear as much road noise as I did with the Pontezas and the ride is cushier. It also is smoother over bumps and railroad tracks. (I have to go over 12 on my way home each day)

The sidewalls are evidently more rigid and the tires are quite a bit more sticky. I didn't encounter any scrubbing, and the speedometer doesn't seem off at all. The wider tire is honestly unnoticeable when viewed from the side.

I will post pics once I get to work tomorrow, I don't have a camera at home.
