Post pics of your Mazda5

Dima,

Yes, my fogs are HID's 8000k. I just modified my low beams with 10 000k and really, you don't see much difference from the 8k I had... Big diff compared to the 4300, but not so much between 8 and 10k.

Bob, your 5 is really nice! I would make a few upgrades on it, but i totally understand you, regarding the white color... I looove white too! Its bright, it shines and anywhere you are parked, you can easely locate it.

Sweeeeeettt 5 Bob!

Congratulations!

Here's a photo of my wife's new Mazda 5. After looking for a new car for a few months, she saw the five and we brought it home the same day.

Please post some better pics! We want to see the results!

What suspension? Did you have to get a camber kit for the rear?

I know these are bad pictures but its raining here in LA. When the sun comes out i'll take some better pictures after a good wash.

I got H&R Springs for the 5 with the Mazdaspeed Camber Kit. The drop so far seems to be 1.5 inch around but i am sure it will settle some more. It does Hot Rod a little but i can live with it.

The Camber kit is a must. When i did my alignment, the rears were perfect. I got everything from the Captain. Good deal. Thanks Captain. I finally had time to get it all done.

The ride is smooth and i still clear all speedbumps and and most driveways. The splitter i have does not help though but i love it. Also, moving up to 18s helps out. I am riding on Falken 912. Good tire for the price. It not like i'm gonna track the car. Enough rubber to not worry about potholes and not too much so i am driving on dounuts.

Over all i am very happy with the look and the ride. I wish i could go lower but i still need to drive my Kids around with ease.

So you are riding on stock shocks?

Did you install the spring and camber kit yourself?

How much $$$ did the whole process cost? Spring + camber kit + alignment?

Sorry for all the questions...planning on lowering mine soon (eekdance)

I got a package deal for the Springs and Camber kit. I'll have to get back to you but if you go to the Captains site look at the prices and just reduce it a little.

Lowering and Aligment - $230

installing the camber kit is difficult on the exhaust side. Yoy have to move the exhaust out of the way off the rubber enclosures to get to the bolts. If you have the tools its not that hard. I just rather pay someone. :)

NOOB: I don't know what the Captiains site is...(confused)

You're in LA? Who did you pay $230 to lower and align the car? That's a great deal.

the Captian - www.protegegarage.com and ask for Ken. Super cool guy. Even mention my name if you want :)

as for lowering and alignment - The Wheel Supply in Walnut. Ask for Albert, when he sees your car he will know i sent you. The place is a little messy but they do the job and they are good.

New guy.....

New to the site here in Alaska,
This is our '07 touring, pretty well stock except the factory dvd player and dark tinting. had to replace the wheels with 16"s cause the 17"s kept bending and shredding tires whenever they encountered a pot-hole. This is a great little car, only 18k miles on it so far. It is supposed to be my wife's car and sometimes I even leave it home so she can drive it!

That's funny, Albert is a good guy, I grew up with him. he knows his stuff and is great with cars. He used to work for Brabus which modifies Benzs, he's been into cars his whole life, he's owned TWS for a while now. I wouldn't trust anybody with my car except him. He's probably one of the best, honest guys around.
