Sup guys,

How necessary is it to run the rear camber kits with the mazdaspeed coilovers set on recommended settings? how many of you guys are running it with or without?

Thanks.

I cant comment from experience running them but the camber links that mazda recommends to be installed along with their coilovers will basically bring the rear camber back to stock like settings. I think I read somewhere that 1" of drop nets -.82 or something of additional camber. Its once you get passed the 1" mark that the negative camber REALLY starts to increase.

I just installed BC coilovers and so far have only been able to dial in about a 1" drop and the rear camber seems fine. It is noticeably more negative but not so much yet that I'm concerned about improper wear. I still plan to lower it further and when I get passed that 1" to the height I want I will take her in and have the alignment checked and adjusted.

Keep in mind that negative camber, to a certain extent is a good thing for handling. Too much is obviously not good but if you get it right at that threshold then you car will handle like a go cart!

I've got the Mazdaspeed coilovers, dropped about an inch. I installed the camber links at the same time. My alignment shop said it was a toss-up if I should have put the in or not, there is not quite enough camber with them in at that drop, probably too much without. If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten adjustables. I love the setup though, with Kumho XS it sticks like glue, and the tire wear is even, so I'm happy.

I used bits and pieces of your install write up to put on the BC's, thanks!
