Hello everyone sorry if this is a repeat thread, but what would be the easiest way to install at 12'' without messing up the Bose setup. I'm not too savy with audio mods i'm assuming i would have to bypass the factory sub then again i wouldn't be the one doing it just don't want the installer to get it wrong.

lots posted on this one MS3 Swag. I am going thru the same thing. this is what I did
Bought:
1. a mono Alpine MRP-M500 Amp 500watt/300RMS at 4 ohm (159.00) w/ speaker level inputs
2. 12" JL Audio CS112RG-W1v2 50-300 RMS range at 4 ohm (189.00)
3. 8gauge amp install kit (25.00)
4. wire splicers from radioshack (5.00)

I will splice into the bose preamp signal, then run speaker and power lines to the hatch. Drink a beer.

If you dont want a box, go for the stealthbox option.

I did that ^^^ works great. Same amp. Tapped the preamps under the seat to the rear speakers and sent into the line level (not speaker) of the Alpine. Good signal for my Boston G5 12". Tons of accurate butt thump. Combined with my TRZ mounts and my UV lights, my car is total vibe and boom party... Chicks at work love it.

Abilor, where did you mount the amp in the back hatch? Also, how did you secure you box in back?

I screwed the amp to the side wall, behind the trunk light. Holds well with self tappers, just be careful what you're screwing into. As far as the box, I placed a velcro adhesive strip underneath. Grabs the liner great, doesn't move at all.

Don't suppose you took any pics? I'm gonna do stealthbox and I like your amp placement, mine amp is 9x8" so should fit right?

I will shoot pic today, no prob. Very happy 2 months in, and the digital blocks run very cool, even under xtreme bass (bass mekanik anyone?)

I installed my JL Audio 12" Powerwedge and Alpine MRP-M500 mono amp today and it makes a huge difference...completely highlights how bad the bose mini-sub is.

I used Vord's install and DID NOT use an LOC or GLI, but I DO NOT have any noise in my signal :)

I made sure to separate the lines: I ran the RCA lines on the driver side, the remote power line down the middle, and the battery power line down the passenger side. All of these were run under the carpet.
