What have you done to your MS3 today?

I installed the Cobb Turbo Inlet yesterday.

Was it a pain to install? Looking forward to your opinion on performance with the inlet. I saw 3 speeds today a black one a red and a silver one, all within half an hour. In the middle of winter even. I bought the car partly because i thought they would be scarce. Who wants a super fast 4 door hatch i thought, besides me. back in January of 07? Damnit.

It was harder than I thought it would be. You have to remove the battery and battery tray, unplug the ECU, remove your intake (cobb sri), IC cover and several fasteners that hold wiring harnesses in place. It comes with instruction. There is not a lot of room to work with even after removing everything. Removing the clamp on the turbo was not easy because the oreintataion of the clamp made it hard to get to it. When I reinstalled the clamp I changed the oreintation so It could be reached from directly above but even then I had to hook three extentions together to reach it from above. I'm not a mechanic, so If I can do it you can too.

The car seems to get into boost faster now, my exhaust tone seems to have changed, not sure if thats possible though, might be my imagination. The sucking sound seems less now and letting off under high boost gets me a chirp, sounds like a squirrel bark. I hope that is not the sound of surge but the sound of the pressure going back into the intake. Can't tell if there is any HP gains but if the boost comes in sooner then there will be a performance gain, but not be detected by dyno #'s.

There is no fastener for the Inlet but I'm thinking about fabricating one with a clamp somehow. After installing the inlet you will know what I mean and if you are gifted mechanically and come up with a good fastener idea then post it.

delete the 1st res man, you will love it. its not too loud but really lets out the sound of the exhaust.

sounds like a STI mixed with alittle evo.

Louisiana legal tint all the way round. Anyone else use Llumar tint? It comes lifetime with warranty against bubbling, peeling, and fading. Dude seemed quite legit. About to go pick up, and finally feel a Louisiana insider/native. My peeps up in NY won't get it...

I installed the Cobb Turbo Inlet and the Cobb Shifter Weight today! I think I cured my suspected boost leak!

Installed my rallyamor UR flaps today (finally).

They shorted me two brackets though, so I had to leave one mounting point empty until I can have them send me some more brackets

Then I put on the sticker Ken gave out at the last northern IL meet on the 21st. Stole Anna-chan's spot on the rear side windows cause I liked it :P

Finally warm enough to consider myself now back below the Arctic Circle, so she got a bath. Nice thing about CWP; it doesn't look dirty 'til it's filthy. (yes)
