So today was a pretty eventful day. I was at work until about noon and i decided to go run some errands during my lunch break. It was snowing and had actually converted to sleet and freezzing rain. Not a good combo with snow covered roads. Anyway i was turning a corner going about 15 or 20 mph and i slid and the front right wheel hit a curb HARD. I pulled into the next entrance after the stoplight and i got towed. I noticed that the front right wheel had some bad curbage and it was turned a little bit to the right. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to what i could have damaged. Cars aren't really my thing so i just want a general idea so that when i get it repaired i dont get screwed. Thank you.

hard to say without actually seeing pictures of the damage. It could have bent your wheel, control arm, bent/busted the strut... or it could have just knocked your alignment out of wack.

Its safe to assume you bent something however...

It could be a number of things or a combination of them.

For Example

  • Bent Wheel
  • Bent Control Arm
  • Bent Tie Rod End
  • ANy suspension COmponent not listed.
It really could be a lot of things...but its likely if you hit that hard, that something bent or broke.

ITs propbably gonna cost you a prety penny if you have all of the work done somewhere out of pocket.

well i looked at it today...nothing appeared to be damaged or bent...it would be nice to be just alignment lol but i doubt it. I am gettin a buddy of mine to look at it tomorrow. hopefully all is well.

So i got my vehicle towed to a shop today...all it was was a spindle and bearing issue. they are fixing this for 400 dollars and then i am throwing on some General Tires Altimax HP tires for an extra 500. wat do you guys think of those tires?
