What have you done to your P5 today?

Wow dude, it looks like you've spent A LOT of money on your P5. I need to get my tranny flushed soon, along with getting the belts changed.

I just find deals at Hella good prices...lol...and the tranny flush was night and day when I did mine with the Royal Purple...highly recomended...

Got a fresh batch of AMSOIL & strainer going back in mine. AMSOIL's been flawless for last 60k. Having it pushed in just like last time.

hmm idk its royal purple so i figure it has to be good?
this is the 1st time im doing it to be honest

and the fluid i drained out just now is like a brownish gold, this normal?

edit: and i never ever got a reminder from mazda for anything, not even an oil change lol
but the dealership i got it from is closed down now so maybe thats why?

Royal purple kinda blows. Becareful.

wait, your new wheels? YIKES!!

Callie is SUPER careful with hers. I told her first time I see curb rash, she goes back to stockers!

No curb rash so far! lol

Wish I could say the same with mine. Looks like the previous owner of the MSP Racing Harts tried jumping curbs at about 40 with em :(

Well they are not new....the tires are though. But since they are stretched it was only wheel. Not bad. Just barely BARELY touched the curb. Im not mad. They need to be redone anywho and polished.

And I think its time to do a flush on my tranny also. Im at 84k and no flush that I know of.

royal purple helped with 1st and 2nd, def smoother

cept for the fact that my 3rd gear synchro is bad and it grinds everytime i try to use 3rd

i got to get a new tranny :(

I'll be going with Redline as well, but i'll be taking it to get pumped out

Think it'll be noticable in teh auto-tragic?

i did mine at about 50k, and am going to do it again at around 90k

i think the interval is 30k in the manual (too lazy to confirm)

but it really helped the last time.

shifts were nice and smooth, and a little faster.

i'm going to the dealer (i know... yipes!)

but the last time i took it elsewhere, it got f'd up, so yeah. i trust them, and they say it is a full flush, not just a drain and fill.

ill let you all know when it is done.

My computer died at the house so I can't upload my pics. My roomate got them on houston-imports.com before the thing died if anyone wants to see them. Or transfer them here for me. Now im stuck using this crappy sidekick to post.

To keep on topic....I cleaned my interior a wee bit. Took out the pink bubble shift knob also

probably should/could post this somewhere else, but i like you guys :) does it matter the version of the msp or mp3 ecu i purchase (MSPxx-xxxxa or xx-xxxxb or "c") or did i read some where that was just for when mazda did flashes for the ecu and when the car was produced. any ecu should work regardless of the attached letter? i have found both mp3 and msp ecu and want to get both but some of the msp ecu's have those different letters

i know that silly, i will get both cause they are available. if i choose to go one way or the other i can always sell it.
any one with the answer to the question though??? i dont think there is an issue though. just plug and play

yeah, any of the ECU's are totally plug and play, you just need to have a turbo setup to run the MSP ecu

GEEzee!!!! I know i need a turbo set up to run the msp ecu (deadhorse
:) i have the mani, turbo and s pipe in the garage for months now. just using it as wall art it seems. but i may just put the mp3 in for now till i get the supporting cast for the msp stuff. thanks for answer dude (breakn)

oh, my bad. I didn't quite get what you were asking! lol

Sorry.

But, yeah, if you can get ahold of an MP3 ECU for the time being, by all means do it son!

You do have 5 speed, right? Just checking!

and, i took some pics of mine on my way into work today
