Professional Car Wash Review

anytime i use the soapy brush i always hose it off first, that way it gets whatever gunk out of the brissles that came off the car before me. and i haven't had a problem with the california wiper blade either, which i also rinse off before using

the only real problem i've had is water spots, which is a mortal enemy for BMs. i try to prevent them as much as i can by drying the car immediatly afterwards in the shade, or on a somewhat overcast day (but no chance of rain obviously)

Man, I suck at washing my car. I tried to buy all nice new mits and soaps and what not when I got the MS3, but my family got into them and when the women wash their cars, I want to scream

I walk outside, and my $20 washmit is laying on the driveway near one of the flowerbeds, The bucket is full of grit and nastyness, ugh.

then When i go to wash my car, I wonder why I got swirl marks all over it (along with using a bad as shammy to dry it. lol)

But I have mastered water spots, and honestly, Swirl marks don't bug me that much, I'm more a performane guy that having show quality. A few tiny scratches never hurt anything...

"You can even clean vinyl siding patio furniture and more!" Then take it back to clean the car? Looks like a oversize mr. clean magic eraser.

Anything that's advertised on tv like that usually isn't worth anything. Might be easy to clean things but seems like if dirt got stuck in that thing it would be hell to get it out and would end up damaging the car.

the only time rain leaves water spots is when it is acid rain. Rain for the most part is pure (depending on the environment you live in), and leaves no marks when it dries. So if your car is clean, and a good coat of wax is kept on it youll have little issue with water spots after it rains. I always wash and wax my car before it rains, that way the water just slides off when i drive off, and since the car is clean, when the rain dries you dont get any water marks.

how bout you go get a glass of water, pour it on your hood during daylight hours, and tell me it doesn't leave water spots cuz it's not acidic. It's just sediments in the water that's left behind when the water droplets dry up

good video. but who would pay 1300pounds for wax. anyways, lived in NH for a while, and the best bet i found for the winter is to give a serious coat of wax before Dec. then just use water from a hose to get salt off and pray for a freak warm day to wash it myself. but now i live in VA Beach and keep it washed year round. do miss the snow though

Alot of professional detailers use filtered softwater to rinse their cars off because filtered softwater leaves no marks behind.

i went through the car wash at shell... i know i know lol i have my own detailing biz. anyways, to make a long story short, my friend called me to do a photo shoot asap and i was already on the way home from work. my car was dirty and i was in a hurry, so i went past my better judgment and went through the car wash. the next day, i went out to my car to see that both sides of my car were filled with scratches. it looks as if a girl's hair had been dragged across my doors, there are so many scratches. there are scratches along the whole length of the car. i will post up pics soon, im still fighting with shell to take care of this errrrr

I have softened and filtered house water and I still get water marks if I just pour tap water onto my car. It costs $$ to have ur water PURE. Then again, I do live in Florida :dodgy:

the rings that you see as a result of washing is dirt, weather it bee from rain water, tap or filtered water, rain is dirty, so your water is dirty, thats y they mske dtuff to get rid of all dirty which equals no dirt rings...

I didn't read all 35 replies, but in the winter months, my car and my wife's car get only either touchless wash's at the gastation, touchless automatic wash at the local coin op place or touchless wash my me at the coin op place. My is filthy and has been for months, but I'm ok with that. I can't wait till it gets above 40 again so I can properly wash both the cars again.
