so i posted a few days ago that i installed my injen CAI. first night the car felt great. now it seems like in boost it just drops, pretty bad it seems. im on the stock bpv..could this be it? ive been waiting for a couple of weeks for my HKS to come in....could it just be its leaking?

you installed an aftermarket part and started having problems so your assumption is to blame a part that never showed any issue before you put on an aftermarket part?

Sure you dont have any leaks in your intake system? Go back and make sure everything is tight and you arent sucking air from another point... The stock BPV is known to be "leaky" and not hold boost but doubt it just all of a sudden decided to do that now. I have the Injen and have not experienced anything like that.

its plastic guy. and when it goes from an air box to sucking ain MUCH more air. it only seems likely that its leaking. unless you dont want to help...dont reply. (braindead

i checked it. it doesnt seem like its leaking. gone over it a couple of times now an taken it for a couple of drives, listened for any leaks and doesnt seem to be. i know the stock bpv is notorious for leaking, so thats the only thing i could think of. i like the sound of stock, and thought of keeping it on and just selling the HKS that way i wont have to switch them out for dealer visits.

ok here is my help...put your stock air box and see if the symptoms disappear. all i am saying is look at the obvious things first. my car did not have problems before i put this on. now it does, what could the problem be?
