my christmas present, a broken motor mount!!!!

**** that my dad is bitching that I change everything...thank good i have ptp tranny mount I will install it tomorrow

Man are you bitter or what

Don't worry, I'm sure Mazda will find something else to cut corners on...

Give it a rest man. Like every other car company Mazda builds products to to a price point. If they used the best of everything then they woudn't be affordable. It also doesn't take in consideration if such failures were due to negligance. Not everyone can be like BMW and charge an arm and a leg for their car.

And personally I've had nothing but good luck with all 6 of my Mazdas.

I guess I am being pretty unreasonable- expecting the struts and turbo to last longer than 26000 miles.
Silly me...

merry ******* christmas indeed.
at approximately 2 pm on xmas eve, i broke the same mount. really...the bolt snapped, BUT the mount is ****** up as well i believe.
did you look under your car for any other problems?
did your abs, traction control, and ebrake lights come on?

What year is yours?

i currently have just under 50,000 miles on my speed3 and i have had no issues with anything.

Believe me, I wish that my car was exhibiting that kind of reliability. I was able to take early retirement and I bought the MS3 to serve as my family car/track rat. I planned to keep it 5-6 years. In fact, it's the first new car that I bought for myself since my Club Sport back in 1995. So far it has made it to exactly one HPDE; the blown strut forced me to cancel a week of instructing at Watkins Glen. The car has received 5000 mile synthetic oil changes and fresh brake fluid every six months. I'm very o-c about maintenance- to the point that I usually have several people wanting to buy one of my cars when I decide to flip one(I sold my last car for double what CarMax offered). To say that I'm disappointed and disgusted would be the understatement of the year.

sorry for the troubles that has come of your speed3. the only issues that i have had is people rear ending me on the interstate. have to say though, it holds up pretty well in an accident!

yeah.....my p5 has held up really well on my 2 hits.....mazda def has that gong for 'em....i feel safe in my car

Bummer. My wife's 528i must have had a bullseye painted on the rear bumper; it was rear ended something like five times. Always while sitting stopped in a line of traffic. A couple of times the moron ran into a car one or two cars back and knocked another car into the 5er. One imbecile was looking for his dropped cigarette and ran his POS(is there any other kind?) Sunbird dead square into the back of the 528i; my wife drove away and the Pontiac was totalled.

i had the corksport mm inserts. dealership didnt care when mine fell. i also had a bov tbe intake and springs on it at the time.

I recently removed the stock motor mount and replaced it with the TRZ Dog bone (Polyurethane). When i saw the stocker it looks like it was starting to tear somewhat. Not bad or anything, but my car only has 13k miles on it. Imagine that same mount at 50k? Im glad i switched mine out. I plan on buy some locktite so i can make sure the bolt doesnt come loose and cause me issues. Sometimes i feel like just getting rid of the car and buying a base honda civic and forgetting about this car fetish i have....good luck to you man, im gonna be subbin this thread to see the outcome. Keep us updated.

hey philly, was it the number 10 bolt or the 8? Any pics?

I'd advise anyone looking to mod (even bolt-ons) to consider one of the aftermarket mounts available.
