Later model Miatas have 5x114.
Nice Shift knob.
Doh, i fail on teh miata wheels.
And, that Sparco knob is kinda jack'd up
Yep, stock '03 MSP shift knob and it is indeed missing it's leather wrapping...Doh, i fail on teh miata wheels.
And, that Sparco knob is kinda jack'd up
Okay, I am trying to find some 15" steelies for my protege. Does anyone know what car came with a 15" 5x114.5 bolt pattern with an appropriate offset?
Miata? Jeff is rockin Miata wheels on his car.
Okay, time to call up junkyards I guess. Craigslist has not netted me anything for quite a while now.
Thanks for the link Jeff. Last time I went to the junk yard, none of the cars had all four wheels on them. And they had a few sets inside, but they were crazy overpriced. I guess I need to keep looking. I don't know maybe more protege5 wheels are the ticket.
As for the knob, magnum can have it if he wants.
Left her in the driveway so I could drive the miata to work. Ah the joys of daily driving the shouty car to break the new engine in LOL
Liar! You don't have a P5 anymore!
...do you?
No, DX/LX/ES Sedans, P5s and MSPs all have the same thread pitch and diameter. The MP3s have the different pitch (10x1.25 as opposed to 10x1.5 I believe). The issue with MSPs is that the knob is much "deeper" than the other model's knobs in that the threaded part is much further inside the knob. The stock shifter on the P5 has a metal piece that gets in the way and doesn't allow the knob to be threaded on. I believe most, if not all aftermarket shifters will allow the use of the MSP knobs.
