i had a ?. a while back there was talk of alternatives to a big brake kit. i know you can swap to the msp brake set up: getting new calipers and rotors and pads, but i also thought i heard something about maybe the 6 cause they would bolt up the same and those rotors are even bigger... is any of this true cause i am tired of looking at these elf size brakes through my wheels
i just removed the vtcs and port it... but i dont feel any difference!!
could it be because i have cheap unknown cai??
I got my uber-cool Mazdaspeed AT shift knob today.
It's warm almost all year here, so, 10W30 is the stuff i should be runnin?
I thought the MSP rears were the same as the 6's? Either way, you can "upgrade" to any year Mazda6 front brakes with the exception of the newest model I believe. You can even swap the MS6 fronts just fine but you need at least 17 in wheels I believe. They're still only single piston calipers but it's something like a 12.2 inch rotor. The regular 6 front brakes were also increased in size for the 06-07 model years (or is it 07-08?) and they will fit under 16 inch wheels. I'm considering the latter when I get my 16" Volks as I'm pretty sure they're larger than the MSP fronts.6 brakes = MSP brakes in the front.
