Speed 3 GT Low Beam Question

Hate me for making a new thread, but I was just wondering if I can get the Silverstar Ultra's for my 09 speed 3 GT for low beam? Also, if these do work how hard are they to put in? -Thanks

if you have a GT your stock low-beam is a HID-D2S.

Yeah that's what Iam thinking of doing. I want them really white, is 8000K any brighter than 5000K? I dont want them to be purple.... blue would be fine. but are the "purple" lights brighter than the white ones?

The xxxxK number is not brightness, it is the color temperature rating. Anything higer than about 6000K will be dimmer, not brigher. A different color, but not as much light in the spectrum where it counts for vision.

no the higher the temps the darker the lights get and the less light output you have.

get 6000k bulbs. nice white light, with a subtle blue hue

yeah Iam thinking 6K or 8K, I already have Xenon fogs so it should look sweet when its all done. Now I just gotta pray that Autozone has a pair so I dont have to order them. Thanks for all the help guys.

i dont think autozone carries HID bulbs... you probably have to order them.

if you really want to you can upgrade the HID system. the stock HID system is a 35watt system you can use an aftermarket 55watt system.

Yeah I have been looking around at a few, I think if I get one it will be the Apexicone kit. How hard is this to install?
