What have you done to your P5 today?

My ps head light is full of condensation. Apparently when I changed the HID ballast and re-installed the bulb I neglected to push the inner part of the rubber boot in.

I have the next four days off, so I'll either dry it out in the driveway or drop the bumper and do it in the house.

Doh! I did that when I had the Jeep. I put the new bulbs in (not HID's) and forgot to put the rubber cap on.

I had upgraded from sealed beam headlights to H4 replacable bulbs. Didn't realize that rubber cap was needed, went out mudding, and didn't understand why my light output was worse with the upgraded headlights.

That was a waste of $80. Tossed em and bought silverstar sealed beams to replace em

dunno if you saw my post, but i just dealt with the same thing.

The only way you can get rid of it, is to work in a dry area, with a blow dryer.

remove the high beam bulb, and the 2 boots on the low beam. Blow the air into the light until all the condensation is gone, than let it sit. If you have those little things of silica, attach those to some string, and put those in the lamp. Wait a couple hours for the lamp to air out, put the bulb back in, and attach both boots snugly. You should have no more condensation issue.

Actually I did see your post and plan on doing the same. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and the highs for the weekend are in the 30's, so I am thinking it is worth removing the bumper and doing it inside! Sucks but I gotta sit at the house tomorrow and wait for kitchen cabinets to be delivered, so....

honestly, yeah just remove the bumper. and youll be able to work in a dry area and insure theres no moisture left.

I just hope I can get it off before the rain starts...my garage isn't big enough for me to remove the bumper with the car parked inside.

Also I'm trying to decide if I want to hide the HID ballasts while the bumper is off????

Umm...do both.

hahaha....oh I know I'll start another thread with a poll! (crazy)

More than likely I'll take advantage of having the bumper off to hide them. I have wanted to do that before I even bought the kit. lol

it is stealthy

no ballasts here! (ignore the blue and white wire running through the enine bay! They have been covered! lol)
