What have you done to your Mazda3 today?

chea lmaoo they gotta be some dumb modafukas bc i dnt got the speed wing.. even thought all of the ignorant bunch think imma speed till i break it 2 em dat im not... they get all sad lol but chea def meetin up soon!

I don't do ghetto. What da' F**k did you say here? Could we have that again in English this time? :D

Nice!! You had to cut the flex from the pre-cat to remove?
What's the anti-fouler trick?
Also, why the Draxas vs. the Vibrant?
The Vib would be a better street header, imo. More low-mid range, but the Drax is a nice piece also.
Any CELs?

Thanks! IMO cutting it makes it SO much easier to remove instead of loosening the rear engine mount and the passenger side mount. The anti fouler trick helpd eliminate CEL you get when running a header. Majority of people who ran a draxas header and did the anti fouler trick haven't recieve a CEL or only got it once but after a reset it went away.

After listening to the different cars that are running the vibrant header & draxas header, I started to like how the Draxas header sound at WOT. The sound of the vibrant header turned me off a lil but then again it also matters what exhaust your running as well. Since I installed the header on my car the sound hasn't increased that much.

umm ok since you asked nicely lol (laugh out loud)
by the when i am at work i have to type fast so it looks like im working (hehe) that's why i end up writting as some of you may call it ghetto.... but
ok what i was saying was that only dumb ignorant people would think i drive a speed just because of my bumper because i dont have the speed wing.. and that everyone seems to think i drive a speed when i pull up next to them but then i have to break it to them and tell them i drive a N/A 3 and they get all sad hah..
good enough?

bro congrats on ur headers! looks nice! any chance you have or you could make any video clips of how it sounds? let me know thanks!!
how long did it take you to do?

Well, to be honest about it I wasn't that upset. In fact I thought that post was was kinda' funny. I did figure it out in the end.
Sometimes though when people are posting like they're texting, or talking ghetto to a friend, or just can't spell, type or use grammer in a reasonable way it gets annoying to try to figure out what they are saying.

curbed by rear right rim at lowes(pissed)(pissed)(pissed)(pissed)

first time ever. i am PISSED.

i've owned other cars, had rims w/ serious lip..never. so pissed.

to add to it, i didnt' even find what i was looking for

akaveli... if you had taken your hood and cowling off you didn't have to cut the header to get it out... also why didn't you consider the thunder?

Nice work, Akaveli! (thumb)

How does the new setup feel?

Any estimates on the hp/tq increase?

Thanks! Overall the set up feels great. I'm not exactly sure what gains I recieved but the car pulls hard above 3.5k for an n/a 3. I already have an I/E/BSD so the header was a great addition. Within a couple of weeks I will be dynoing my car. (headbang)

I'm in the progcess of putting one together. 1st attempt took more then 4 hours since I stripped the 1st O2 sensor and then I wasn't able to remove the stock manifold. I gave up and I was also missing a few other items. lol My 2nd attempt only took 30 minutes to an hours. I spent most of that time doing the anti fouler trick and cutting the pipe.

akaveli... if you had taken your hood and cowling off you didn't have to cut the header to get it out... also why didn't you consider the thunder?

The hood and the cowling wasn't in the way. The screw studs in the engine block was the issue. I didn't have enough clearance to get it out of the engine bay. The only options I had was cutting the pipe or loosening the mounts and shifting the engine forward. I decide to take the fastest route. snip snip :)

I was considering the New thunder catted header but they didn't come out yet and they are still in the testing phase with another 3 member. So Draxas was the next best thing for me.

I cleaned out the garage so my lil' girl can finally have shelter!!! Woot woot!! (and just as the rains start too!)

Just picked up a stock exhaust in three pieces with a bunch of other stock 3 parts...but was wondering what are the two bulges on this exhaust...resonators???

I am not an exhaust person...so thanks for the help...

Well its nothing that I did personally... but woke up today to the car being covered with snow! Does that count? I think the next thing I plan on doing is getting 2 new front tires... finally installing my plugs... and prolly painting the valve cover!

The first round thing is the resonator and the second boxy looking thing is the muffler.

WOW!! You HAVE been a busy girl!! I'm jealous... especially the turbo kit.
I really like what you've done w/the red paint in the engine compartment too.

Thanks for the positive feedback, guys!
The car runs great...had to remap and tweak some, but my tuner is great and Tripoint Engineering (maker of kit) was really helpful with updates that had come out. Sounds mean as hell, and the blowoff valve is a controlled release, so has a cool sound. She's a hell of a fun car to drive!

hey, from when I changed out my exhaust...there were 2 resonators on my mazda 3 sedan. they are pretty close together, near the downpipe
...needless to say, I ditched 'em both!

[Copied from another post, but it was my post, so permission was easy to secure. :D Here goes...]

Just got a set of Goodyear UltraGrip GW3 winters on 16" steelies set up on Jazzy. Stark difference between them and the stock Eagle RS-A's, which started to suck about a month ago when the temperature started to stay down around freezing. Recently the RS-A's had the traction/ABS kicking in when trying to accelerate any faster than, say, molasses or trying to brake, well, at all in light snow (<0.5 in. unpacked). With the GW3's I have to accelerate/brake pretty hard (~60%?? (how should one measure pedal pressure meaningfully in this context?)) to get the traction/ABS to kick in in the exact same situations.

So, GW3's == awesome! (2thumbs)
